In a Dec 15 report, analyst Ho Pei Hwa says Ezion is also well-positioned to benefit from the rising popularity of liftboats in the region, capitalising on its first-mover advantage. ?We believe service rigs are in an early growth phase, buoyed by the substitution effect to replace typical work boats/barges in this region,? adds Ho. Ezion has taken delivery of 26 ser- vice rigs and the fleet is expected to grow to 28 units by end-2015, and 37 units by 2016, propelling earnings CAGR of 11% in 2015-2017. Ezion also has a prudent business model. Fleet expansion is backed by long-term charters of three to five years. ?We value Ezion based on 0.8x FY15 P/BV, arriving at a target price of $1.00. This implies 81% upside potential,? adds Ho. Ezion is up 4.5% at 58 cents. ? Under China?s Twelfth Five-Year Plan, the government has set a target of having non-fossil fuel account for 11.4% of total energy consumption. The country is targeting 5GW of in- stalled offshore wind capacity by 2015 and 30GW by 2020. In a note today, RHB says Ezion is now trading at only half its book value, as the market prices in long-term neg- ative growth or short-term financial problems. ?With its strong cashflows, we view the latter as being unlikely. We only expect one year of negative earnings growth, caused by the op- erational issues faced this year, and earnings to rebound in FY2016 as its newly delivered liftboats begin work.? The brokerage sees a new growth engine shaping up for Ezion, with new contracts likely on this front in 1H2016. ?Long-term investors should do well.? RHB has a price target of $1.40 on this stock. ?
