Frankly,... I always think that stocks like these, from big cap co' s, reputed to be very safe and sound (can sleep at night),... will never be ' profitable' , whether in divvy payout or in cap gain... to investors. The accountants in such companies are too good, they just know how to give back ' ngam-ngam' to investors,... never more,....So, it' s better to look somewhere else. Another similar one that I sensed is Keppel DC REIT,... Never giving more to investors. |

It could be because after the Rights announcement, at least 2 analysts (OCBC and CIMB) downgraded ART while I think DBSV maintained a Buy but lowered the cum rights Fair Value (FV). OCBC has a cum rights FV of $1.16 and ex rights FV of $1.105. CIMB had more negative commentary and basically felt the acquisitions funded by these rights are yield dilutive. Their FV is only $1 - I believe this is cum rights.
If current price holds at 1.11 till ex rights day, then TERP will be $1.067. It is looking like market may be looking at ART to settle at bet $1 to $1.05 after ex rights, which for me may be the trigger range for some accumulation ex rights. PS : Not recommendation to buy, sell or trade. DYODD. |

AR straddles between 1.13 to 1.20 for quite some time despite a number of analysts call to accumulate. If one assumes a pre XR price of 1.135, then the TARP should be about 1.09. So for me, to buy below 1.09 XR is probably ok. If one holds AR now, go for excess. I think this one is good for holding in a long term portfolio. Not for trading. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Hello, Is there someone who can explain to me please... I am sure I bought Ascott Reit in March 2015 at $1.80. However when I look at all the charts including on the Ascott Reit website, the stock never reached $1.80.... the highest it has ever been is about $1.40??? Thanks. |
