Hi ecekca,...I' m thinking I' ll hold for now,... not to buy more. Let them reach their 6Bil worth of asset value first, then we see what will they harp on next as their ambition. Chances are Orchard Sgp' s acquisition will add further dilutions. The unitholders have also given their ' Yes' , allowing them to issue new shares during the recent AGM. We' re at their mercy. We should observe how they would do their Orchard Rd acq first before deciding further. If they do listen to unitholders' opinions, then the Orchard Rd acq should not be dilutive to unitholders. Let' s see how they do the acquisition - this will be a turning point to observe whether the BOD listens to us or not. |

Glimpses of this matter came and went over this weekend,... and I' m beginning to form the idea that the manager is actually more intent to achieve the 6Bil worth of assets, RATHER than creating unitholders' value. Sure, the BOD' s holdings will also be destroyed/damaged, but they have other means of remuneration from the performance of this REIT compared to us. To the BOD, by hook or by crook or whats not, they have to achieve the 6Bil assets asap. What I gathered from the AGM was that this would be critical mass for this REIT to survive. To reach 6Bil, by debt or by equity placement is fine, so long as they can finance the acquisitions. SCary,... |

What is everybody' s take from the AGM ? In spite of the Chairman replying in the AGM that unit price is ' beyond' the board' s control, the unitholders have managed to ' dig out' the reason why the unit price dipped to 1.06. The unitholders remonded the board that ' reaching 6Bil asset size' should not be the utmost objective, if the outcome is detrimental to unitholders in the form of unit price performance. Unitholders can only hope that the board will be more careful from now on. But we have made out voices heard. Can' t decide yet whether to pull-out or not. If pulling-out, there is the hurdle of what to buy next. Can' t just hold cash. |

Problem is the ' hidden hands' won' t be there forever. After awhile, they will go away, and the price will drop again. |

Maybe some hidden hands are ' making' the unit price go higher in order to avoid queries by unitholders at the AGM in two days' time. Certainly this is not going to deter unitholders from raising that question. I will sell-away if the management can' t provide a good answer. |
