COMPLETION OF THE PLACEMENT OF 37,000,000 NEW SHARES TO WARRIOR FIRST INVESTMENT CORP, LIM YEW CHOY, MARKSMAN CAPITAL LTD, OR LAY HUAT DANIEL, HENG DA RESOURCES PTE LTD, TNG KUM CHOE, SOLEIL CAPITAL LIMITED, CHALLENGER PORTFOLIO ASSET MANAGEMENT LIMITED (COLLECTIVELY THE “PLACEES”) 

Unless otherwise defined, all capitalised terms used in this announcement shall bear the same meanings as in the Company’s announcements dated 25 April 2013, 2 May 2013 and 7 May 2013. 

Further to the announcements dated 25 April 2013, 2 May 2013 and 7 May 2013 relating to the proposed placement (the “Proposed Placement”) of 37,000,000 new shares (the “Placement Shares”) to the Placees, the Board of Directors of CNA Group Ltd. (the " Company" ) are pleased to announce that pursuant to and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the placement agreement dated 24 April 2013, the Proposed Placement was completed on 9 May 2013 and the Placement Shares were allotted and issued to the Placees, at a price of S$0.081 per Placement Share and such Placement Shares shall be credited to the Placees’ securities accounts on 10 May 2013. 

After the completion of the Proposed Placement, the total number of issued shares of the Company has increased from 270,816,974 ordinary shares to 307,816,974 ordinary shares (excluding treasury shares). The Placement Shares represent approximately 12.02% of the enlarged issued and paid-up share capital of the Company. 

The Placement Shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing shares of the Company.
