U cannot deny the fact that STA Group Consolidated Financial Statement contains revenues and earnings derived from STGT.  Of course it' s a double edged sword. Just like Singtel, although it' s still doing alright because of its nature of business, but the penalty incurred by Airtel pulled its share price down. STGT  would have  helped STA to push its share price up.  Dividend is declared on the earnings on Group Consolidated Financial Statement, not under its (only) sales of natural rubber operation.  (how dividends is calculated for STA and STGT is not known at this point of time, to avoid " duplicate dividend calculation" by STA. If got expert can contribute on this topic will be good.) Therefore, STA still has an edge over STGT, bearing 50.75% revenues/earnings from STGT on top of natural rubber sales. As to whether Sta current price of $1.20 is undervalue or not, I need to probe further on its potential net income from its rubber operation & others. STA is not a speculation counter but a buy and hold counter fir at least 6 to 12 months period. From a premuim , now to discount for STA Sing to STA Thai. No nobody can control mkt as it has a mind of his own. There are winners and losers in any mkt as trading is a zero sum game. Do your own due diligence. No point playing blame game but be constructive in sharing of info. Just invest in ways you deem fit. Otherwise better to trade other volatile Msian glove counters with dual listing like Top Gloves and Riverstine as these are volatile counters to enjoy big profits or big losses and not meant for the faint hearted. As for me, STA is my long term investment for choice and I am willing to sit it out as ATA is a well managed company with potential good earnings for next few quarters from Analysts' revised price TP. UOB, latest at 45.50 Baht (S$2.00) TP for STA Thai.
