If it is of any comfort, I don't think scenario 1 will become reality. Reason being that Fincantieri, as a substantial shareholder, cannot increase its stake without making an announcement to that effect. This applies even if it is increasing its shareholding through the open market. Therefore, it cannot hope to act out scenario 1 without it being very obvious. Honestly, I think Fincantieri will just concentrate on the business and leave the capital market alone for now.

There are only 3 scenarios I can think of: 1)Fincantieri deliberately suppress the share price of Vard Holdings so as to buy all our lots later at a much cheaper price to make it private. 2)Owning already more than 50% of the shares (and as a majority shareholder), and knowing that long-term existing shareholders won't be so irrational so as to sell the existing lots to it at an unfair pricing, Fincantieri and Vard will " buck up" to bring better value to it's shares, for the benefit of Fincantieri itself and exisiting shareholders. In the event of raising new capital in the future through placement of shares, the market value of existing shares will give it better pricing. 3)Fincantieri already own Vard Holdings as a subsidary and can't really be bothered too much with the share price of Vard. It will just run Vard well like a business it is, and leaving to market itself to determine it's true market valuation. Nice food for thought, and a good Sunday evening to everyone!!

Between the price new boss purchased and now...Vard Holdings Last Done @0.90c Volume-3,244,000mil shr changed hands  -0.0050c.
