20th july got the whole day for u to run road after n. announced a debt standstill and yet no one shareholders provlaim he has sold off the shares? Once it has defaulted on bond payments and doesnt pay up on time due to OCBC' s writ of summon, get out first and talk later. At least they are magnanimous enuff to give u 1 day grace period to bail out, whereas for linc it has given no time to escape. | ||||

Not vested..Just curious how many of u trapped by NC? As prior to its end..many cheerleaders ask to buy...
Prior to the end..the owner / under his wife already sold...thus depressing the price further.. Insider selling is a good indication of whats coming..next.. |

This is like ownself declares Chapter 11 where there is none in Singapore. In a situation like this, the bond holders can sue to recover whatever is left.   But the issue size is small which means there are only retail investors who probably know nothing about their rights and what to do.   So can just bully them lor. Good lessons learnt. |

Why Sgx don't let it lift the halt as it ann ? Small share holders can get back some residuce money rather than zero now if finally delisted like Cacola furniture no exit offer.

I can only say there are tons of S-chips pulling whatever tricks they can on investors straight under SGX' s nose.   So is SGX a place for swindlers?   I don' t think Nam Cheong belongs to the same category but the end results for whatever holders iare nonetheless similar.

does this make SGX a place for swindlers pulling whatever tricks they can on investors, the management at Nam Cheong has misled banks, notes buyers and shareholders on all fronts, regarding the health of the company, with no fear of legal actions from creditors, SGX and SIAS???

Tiong, 73 (Now 75), is one of the top five tycoons in Sibu, which is famous for &ldquo nurturing&rdquo Malaysia&rsquo s top timber businessmen of the Foo Chow clan. The clan&rsquo s ancestors braved rough seas to land in Sibu to open up virgin jungles in 1901. Apart from the food business, grouped under CCK listed in Bursa Malaysia, Tiong ventured into boat-building some 40 years ago under the name Nam Cheong. Today, this Singapore-listed company is a leading global marine player and Malaysia&rsquo s largest builder of offshore support vessels (OSV). Under his privately held S.K. Tiong Group of Companies, Tiong has a hand in housing and commercial property developments worth over RM2bil in the country. This group is also an agent for national car Proton and various brands of beverages in Sibu. By stating that they are not going to pay anymore money until restructuring is already a slap on his own face.   已 经 很 没 脸 了 。 But then still rich right.   Compared to poor whatever holder, they lose money and 没 脸 见 家 人 。 So Datuk 1 - 0 whateverholders. So if this Datuk still got a heart, he should have quikly sell those vessels even if it means super cheap and repay all obligations.   But is his SIL in charge so maybe what he say don' t count.   But I think no matter becos the crux of the problem is no one is buying their vessels.   So NC is effectively holding on to tons of useless steels. JM is the likely outcome....sad day for NC........

I think they are player ' poker' game to drag everyone down ! Either stick together to restructure and you may just have a chance to recover $ in future or you drive them to the wall we all 一 拍 两 散 ! See who will blink first. But Datok Tiong is putting his reputation at stake, he still have other listed co like Malaysian CCK Berhad.. Like that his reputation  all going down the drain soon .. what title conferment Tan Sri, what tycoon ,etc   ... his whole family will be put to " write-off" - " condemn" in business world.. Let' s hope not the case ! |
