Oceanus Group invests in Singapore-based Universal Aquaculture Created: Tuesday, 08 September 2020 06:08 Universal Aquaculture, a deep-tech company with an indoor farming facility, has received an undisclosed amount of investment from Oceanus Group Universal Aquaculture?s system reduces the need for large water treatment tanks and equipment. As reported in the Straits Times, the investment is in line with the group?s strategies to strengthen its aquaculture pillar. Oceanus stated that Universal Aquaculture?s indoor farming facility has a hybrid biological recirculation system. The hybrid system consumes much less energy, facilities zero-water change and significant reduction of the feed conversion ratio. Oceanus CEO Peter Koh said, ?Universal Aquaculture?s system reduces the need for large water treatment tanks and equipment. This saves space, energy and water consumption while creating the ?perfect water conditions? for breeding within a shorter period of harvesting time.? ?We are optimistic that this breakthrough in technology for prawn breeding in a vertical farming environment, where aquaculture could take place within warehouses, will play an important role in sustainable urban food production. | ||||

Singapore is set to receive a local boost from a high-tech farm in satiating its appetite for prawns.
The vertical farm, which expects its first harvest by March next year, will focus on rearing the popular vannamei prawns, also known as pacific white shrimp, king prawn and "bai xia". These tropical prawns are greyish-white and sweet, with a firm texture. Universal Aquaculture will be housed in a 1,300 sq m warehouse in Tuas South Link. Ya 440pm part i understand, what i dun is the part where 4M@67 asking and buying 14M but no movement for a good 2-3 min...and also the next logical sell should be 69 when 68 is out.. nonetheless good closing...think shortist profit is abt 2pip.... tmr will be an interesting day...

I think the BBs are trying to see which market direction they should go for. Around 4:40 pm, from 13m asking price increase suddenly to 22m asking price. I think they are trying to see if can further short sell during that last half an hour. And yes, during the 5 pm mark, the prices are all crazy. Nonetheless, good closing.

Last 5 min was, asking 68@12M vs buy 67 @12M, then suddenly ask drop to 8m and within 20 sec drop to 4M. Then asking 67 @ 4M and buy 14M but no transaction thereafter last min 68 close at 67... anyone can enlighten ? | ||||

Anyway good closing despite a sudden 55mil short in the morning. Recovered well and finished strong despite STI bleeding the gains from the budget optimism! Tomorrow another 3 pips and we see 7 series, 4Q2020 report coming out anytime soon. Company is optimistic and already hinted that it will be good, only time will tell. |
