Me Ooi and its consortium will subscribe the bonds. This is a big big business taht one should not miss. Casino licence and banking licence. Very hard to get leh. This is going to be huat huat for investors.

To meet the funding requirements of the new businesses, Asia-Pacific Strategic Investments is seeking to raise US$100 million ($135.5 million) worth of convertible bonds. The bonds will be subscribed by the company&rsquo s controlling shareholder, Oei Hong Leong, once they have been issued.

Oei signed a term sheet with the company on Feb 11. The term sheet will be valid for six months from the date of signing or any other agreed-upon date.

The bonds will carry an interest rate of 3% per annum and will mature five years after the date of issue, which has yet to be decided. The issue date will be determined on the progress of obtaining the licences for the proposed new businesses.

Bondholders may convert their bonds into new ordinary shares of the company with the conversion price fixed at 0.2 cents per share. The bonds may also be transferred to third parties, subject to the company&rsquo s consent.

Asia-Pacific Strategic Investments terminates sale agreement to purchase Taiwanese sustainable data solutions provider
Singapore Exchange (SGX)-listed real estate developer, Asia-Pacific Strategic Investments 5RA has terminated its sale and purchase agreement (SPA) for the acquisition of a 100% stake in Mobii Genius Co., Ltd. 
 
On April 2, the group entered into a conditional SPA with Mobii Genius&rsquo parent company, Mobii Green Energy to acquire Mobii Genius for a purchase consideration of US$150 million ($201 million).
 
However, the group has since announced that the sale has not materialised &ldquo due to unforeseen circumstances&rdquo . 
 
Under the conditions of the SPA, the agreement was automatically terminated on Oct 2 and is of no further force or effect. 
 
The termination of the SPA is not expected to have any material impact on the consolidated net tangible assets or earnings per share of the group for the financial year ending June 30, 2025.
 
The group adds that it will &ldquo continue to explore opportunities with other parties&rdquo .
