In the week prior to 7 Nov 24, hope to see 2.91 if not 2.99 or somewhere in-between. Whether will break 2.99 to sail further north will depend on whether enough fund managers decide that it is time to load up. First, the bigger fund managers must decide it is. Only then the smaller fund managers will join in due to FOMO. Then followed by institutional investors and high net worth retail investors. And lastly, we, the retail small frys. Together, we make the market. The next such spike I will sell my small lots in this account....  ...... to recall some troops to fight another battle.Namely....The Battle of the Futures.

Bro yoga, For Ascendas to move, we need a catalyst. Next FOMC Meeting is on 6-7th Nov 2024. Maybe a week before that then we will see some movement. Meantime, those who have bullets can buy the dips. |

Dow closed UP by +409 pts last Friday. But look at Ascendas today - languishing at 2.79 to 2.81 and was at 2.79 : 2.80 almost the whole morning. So what if Dow closed up +409 pts. Like I have said before many times, there is no co-relation between Dow and STI stocks. When Dow UP doesnt mean your STI stock will also up. But when Dow is down, your STI stocks will be affected by weak sentiments. Though there were times when Dow was down the night before but the morningafter, STI stocks here ran and closed high. I did notice that on those occasions when the above happened, it was becoz Dow was poised to rebound and did rebound later in the night after our market has closed. And I think there is an explanation for this. You see, US traders dont just trade the US markets. They trade Asian and European markets too. The way time zone works is Asia will wake up to each new day first. Then Europe. Then the US. US markets are manipulated. Market movement is not random. Market runs when the King Kongs of Wall Street deem it time to run. So when they have decided that they will U-Turn the market on a particular night, they dont wait till US markets are open then they go to work. No, not at all. They are also vested in Asian and European markets mah. So when Asian markets open, these King Kongs will move in to buy up Asian stocks. So Asian markets rise. Then at 4pm when European markets open, they buy European stocks. Europe rises. Then when US markets open, they continue the buying at home. End result is the whole world rises. Now you know why. And you heard it first at The Trading Floor.  .

Still holding my position. A lot of news flowing over the weekend. Not going to discuss much on Ascendars for now, but pls dyodd, the pieces of news do carries a lot into the future I do expect a lot of movement up and down today, trade should be main bulk for today stay with OCBC and Samudera. just sharing

When the Managers of Ascendas are renting out a property to collect rent, that' s like collecting dividends. Then when they sell the property at a premium, that' s like realizing their capital gains. Just like if we sell at above our entry price, we realize our capital gains. We already collected dividends twice in Mar and Sep. Only if we hold long enough till Feb 2025 that we will collect a 3rd round of dividends. I may just do that for some of my holdings. Keep them for long term to ride out the rate cutting cycle. That way, I will still have some lots should she rise to retest the post-Covid high at 3.67. Remember I asked will Ascendas ever reach 3.18...3.25....and higher... and I said yes she will but at a time when most of us have already given up and jumped off her boat ? I was thinking about this and I concluded that the only way to be still holding if she goes to those levels is if I am still holding some of my lots. How many lots to keep for this venture is still a work-in-progress. See how lah. And say is lidat say. Whether I am able to do it remains to be seen. Haha.  If you want to start a business, what you can do is primarily determined by how much working capital you have. If your working capital is $1m, many options are available to you. If your working capital is slashed to $100k, that' s a very big reduction but $100k is still quite a lot of money for you to start a business. But if all you have is $1k to start a business, then you are restricted to renting that small space in front of a shop in our neighbourhood shophouses to peddle your handphone covers or pots and pans or crockery or cheap watches or clothes or towels. Same when it comes to investment or trading. If a rich aunt tells me she has money and she wants me to trade for her, what I can do will largely depend on how much seed money she is willing to set aside for this venture. If she says $1000, I will tell her better she keep the $1000 in the bank to earn interest. If she says $5000, I will tell her dont expect to see exponential growth. Expect say 3 to 5% per annum thereabout. But if she is willing to risk $50k or $100k or $150k, now we are talking. Most of my Ascendas are in FSMOne. I have some in Tiger Brokers. I have decided to divest my shares held in my Tiger account to raise more working capital to trade Dow Futures. Why ? Becoz Dow Futures is not a market you can trade anytime. For Dow Futures, there is a most excellent time to trade this market. At all other times, it is best to leave this market alone and take a break from trading it. And that most excellent time to trade this market is when Dow is doing an UP. UP & AWAY. Which is happening now and which will continue throughout the whole of 2025. So just go LONG and ride her up. Dont SHORT. Go with the trend. Coz the power is in the trend. Dont fight the trend. The trend is your friend. Remember ? Which is VERY VERY true in the case of Dow Futures. Going LONG in Dow Futures and after that, let the market do the rest of the work is almost a no-brainer. There are risks though. As always. Manage or put measures in place to mitigate those risks and you will most likely turn out profitable. And one of the risk mitigating measures you must put in place to guarantee a win is capital. If you have enough capital to weather the worst conceivable storm when trading this market, you cant lose. Have a good weekend, guys.  |

No change on position still see the 2 x 500k Q at 0.905, one of them likely GTC order, been therealmost 1 week everyday before 8.30 am Second one will comes in at 8.30am, daily routine liao. Believe shortist will continue to try unless 0.865 breakout strongly, As logarithm trades will put presure on the selling.
