MIT at 2.17. Which is within my BUY ZONE of 2.12 to 2.18. So do I move in now to buy ? Ofcoz not. MIT is not a market leader. She is a market follower. She follows the market up or down. And what is the broader market doing? Does the broader market looks like she is way oversold and ready to explode to the upside? Not in my view. So why buy MIT now. There are still people in her who wish to get out. Whatever their reason is. What is poison to these sellers is meat for those looking to buy. And why pay more if you can have it for less. Will she break below 2.12 even ? Its possible. If the broader market wish to have not just a pullback but a deeper pullback or even a correction. I dunno. I just know now is not the time to buy. So I wait on. .

All good blue chip STI-component stocks which are sought after by fund managers, institutions and high net worth retail investors exhibit the same pattern in every major downmove. When the stock goes into a prolonged fall, it is becoz people are selling. Why are people selling ? Many reasons. - Contra players. - Margin players who cannot meet or dont want to meet margin call. - Weak retail holders who got scared and wish to bail out. - Fund managers who wish to reshuffle their portfolios. When the selling is happening, what is poison for those who wish to sell is meat for those who are waiting to buy. And those looking to buy are all smart people. Why buy when people are still selling? Stand aside and let sellers hammer down the price for you first. Why rush in to buy when there is a bear stampede in progress ? Wait for the selling to be done. Then buy. Sure, no one knows the bottom and there will be hits and misses. But if you stand out of the way and BEO the market everyday and keep an eye also on what the broader market is doing, you will most likely miss buying at the bottom but you will get to buy near the bottom. Once your stock has turned the corner, buying on the way up soon after the turn is also a good way to play this game. |

Well... I am holding to my warchest just waiting for market to do a major correction or literally crash i.e. STI to drop below 2000pts with all these chaotic political and commercial environment... But seems to wait long long leh... |

 Bro Ryan, Amongst the Mapletree family, my top pick is Mapletree Industrial Trust. If still have ammo, I will put in Mapletree Logistics Trust. Then Mapletree Pan Asia Commercial Trust. Go where the money is. And the money is in stocks chased by fund managers, institutions and high net worth retail investors. In my view, MIT is the one which has the most of these 3 groups of big buyers. Yes, MIT requires more capital to play. But MIT moves a lot faster and has a stronger bounce when the recovery comes. It does cost more but this stock works harder for you too. But that' s me.

When Wall Street goes up, our STI stocks did not go up. But when Wall Street falls, our STI stocks fell. This type of market you still want to chase prices when Wall Street goes up mare ? Chase and get stuck for what. When your stock dont go up when S & P is up and your stock goes down when S & P is down, it means there are still sellers in your stock. Let these sellers go out first. When the selling is done, your stock will find a bottom and that' s when those looking to buy your stock will start buying. And that' s the time to buy. If you start buying too early and too much, you will most likely run out of bullets before your stock finds its bottom. |

Ascendas.... 2.55 and below. MIT...... 2.12 and below. CPI data next Tue. FOMC next Wed. Market priced in a Fed pause. So if Fed decides to go for 0.25% hike, market will take a hit to do repricing.

On 29 May, Ascendas was trading at 2.70 to 2.74. That morning at around 9.05am, I posted her Market Depth. Back then, did she look like she didnt want to come down at all ? She did. She was hovering at 2.70 to 2.74 for many days and 2.70 back then seemed like a strong hard to break support. But see what happen ? Today, she is at 2.61 : 2.62. And it ain' t over becoz the fat lady havent sang yet. I have withdrawn my BUY orders at 2.60 to 2.63 at every level. If not hor, my boys would have moved into their Foxholes at 2.61, 2.62 and 2.63 and they would be trapped there for now. In this game, there is one human trait we need to learn - PATIENCE. MIT is also coming along nicely. Now Showing 2.18 : 2.19. See whether she shows us 2.12. Skarly she wants to show us even lower than that. Which will be a good thing if you are looking to BUY or ADD.  .

agree, beer stock only buy with excess money and after a long drift down. decided to add it as trend history say May usually low and pickup after that. I split my bullet into 3 to fight TB / Maple and Ascendas.

This beer counter hear say got a rich Thai tycoon who will from time to time use his wealth to move the counter to consolidate his empire. Becoz a couple of forum people here and elsewhere play or used to play this counter, I did put her on my radar to study her for some time with the view to dating her. But left look right look a couple of times ler everytime also same conclusion one - that she is not exciting and more importantly, not predictive enough to risk my hard earned savings in her. To trade Thai Beverage is more or less the same as to trade Genting. If teok stuck, can kena stuck for a very, very long time one. That' s why took her off my radar. And stick with the babes I know best - Miss Ascendas and Miss Maple.

Ascendas... Why pay more if you can get it for lower. I withdrew my BUY orders at 2.63 and 2.62. Do I feel like the market has been falling alot alot to a point that selling is overdone and that the market is about to stage a strong rebound from here if not a real rebound then at least a technical bounce ? No. Not at all. Instead, what I feel is that the selling has just started. For a long time now, market was doing the back and forth and back and forth thingy. So people who are trapped felt comfortable to keep holding. No fear factor in play back then. But now that she has broken below 2.70 and continued to drop rather rapidly to show us yet another new low of 2.63 today plus what is more important, the price action tells me there is no let up in selling yet, then experience and gutfeel says get out of the way first...dont be trampled by the bear stampede. Go to the side where it is safe and wait for the storm to die down first and the sea to be calmer. Then check wind direction and reassess. |

Thank you, for a profitable company trading in 52wks low is worth a bet. usually div declear is much higher for full year result, looking at 10-15 cents vs current px 0.545-0.555 trading range, just that need to hold for quite a while
