Analysts will tout BUY, ADD, OVERWEIGHT etc. Stock price will suddenly head for the moon, sucking in retail investors who rush to buy/trade out of fear of missing out. And so, these shares will pass on to retail investors at high.  And retail investors end up holding the bag.
