Everyone is entitled to his / her own views/opinions. For you, you feel that there is a market crash, and so you sold off your entire portfolio. I do not know whether you sold at a loss or huge gains. But that doesn' t matter. For some, a market crash is good for long term investors to pick up gems in depressed prices. Markets are technically inefficient due to asymmetric information. Insiders are the ones who will make the money no matter which direction the markets go, not retail investors. That' s why the ultra rich will always make. So who are the losers as it is a zero sum game? The answer is retail.

I am fairly suprised that some poeple followed comments from others to buy and sell stocks instead of doing his/her own homework. Some spread fear / pessimism to support their short positions while some spread optimism to support their long positions. No wonder retail always suffer the brunt. |

The warning signs are getting stronger. Last nights Dows 600 pt swing is the latest. Fed cut, NZ cut, India cut, RMB broke 7, Dow plunged, world responded... The global stock market crash is about to happen. If you are a retiree or near retirement, take your nest eggs and run, because time is not on your side to recover from another crash. |

1000 drop from 27000 is only 3.7%, don?t panic, when it drop near 10% which is 2700 pts then see how, drop 20% which is 5000 pts then panic, now just relax and conserve bullets to scoop low..

As I write @ 2130 SG time, Dow is down 420 pt. This is its straight 6th day of losses. If you add up the 6 days of losses as of now, it has lost more than 1,000 pt. If this is not a crash, what is? |

Despite the good results and $0.25 dividend, OCBC is down $0.20 and more, Keppel Corp is hitting $6.00, SIA is heading $9.00, And ...... If Dow hands you the Black Friday tonight, all hells will break loose next week (Chinese hells already broken) |
