Totm Technologies a great beneficiary of World Bank&rsquo s US$250 mil funding to enhance Indonesia&rsquo s digital ID: SAC Capitalhttps://www.theedgesingapore.com/capital/brokers-calls/totm-technologies-great-beneficiary-world-banks-us250-mil-funding-enhanceCatalist-listed Totm Technologies will be a great beneficiary of the US$250 million ($332 million) funding from World Bank intended to enhance Indonesia&rsquo s civil registration and use of biometric identification in both government and commercial sectors, SAC Capital analyst Yeo Peng Joon says in his Jan 10 unrated report. The news of the funding was first reported on Jan 4. Yeo says that in its 2Q2023, Totm secured and successfully completed US$10.3 million worth of such projects. With this track record, the company stands a good chance of making inroads into the funding. &ldquo To put things into perspective, based on our sensitivity analysis, every US$10 million worth of projects secured, assuming gross margins of 12%, translates to a US$1.2 million increment in gross profit which represents a third of FY2022 gross profit. Typically, after the completion of each project, there would be maintenance support over the next few years,&rdquo he adds. One of the goals of the financing is to expand the issuing of legal identification papers, which include electronic national ID cards and national ID numbers in underdeveloped regions. Equipped with NIST-rated software, Totm is currently involved in both, highlights Yeo. Another goal for the funding would be the development of an identification and e-know-your-customer (e-KYC) platform for government agencies and 5,400 public and private institutions. Currently, organisations have tapped into Indonesia&rsquo s Ministry of Home Affairs&rsquo data and executed more than 7 billion real-time verification requests. Totm has engaged with medium to large customers such as Gojek and DBS, where they utilise Totm&rsquo s e-KYC solution for the onboarding of customers, says Yeo. As at 9.04am, shares in Totm are trading 0.1 cent higher or 0.93% up at 10.8 cents. |
