Last done market price for shares is 58 cents, and  Last done market price for warrants is 47 cents. This latest acquisition of shares and warrants by  A-SONIC AERO CEO JANET LC TAN were done at a significant premium to market price of more than 35%! Wonder whats brewing? Perhaps a GENERAL OFFER soon (at an offer price upwards of 80 cents)?  RECAP: Current market capitalisation of only SGD 33.9 million (share price 58 cents) vs Net Book value of  S$52.601 million for this  Profitable company which has paid / declared dividends for the last 3.5 years Cash and cash equivalents  of  USD  30.140 million = SGD 40.87 million. And not forgetting their International Plaza property going on enbloc sale soon -    (It also noted that the memorandum had a sale price for illustration only that put the approximate gross sale proceeds of the office units at      S$9.3 million.)   From A-SONIC AERO Annual report:

Great 1H2021 financial results for A-SONIC AERO announced! RECAP: Current market capitalisation of only SGD 35.6 million (share price 61 cents) vs Net Book value of  S$52.601 million for this  Profitable company which has paid / declared dividends for the last 3.5 years Cash and cash equivalents  of  USD  30.140 million = SGD 40.87 million. And not forgetting their International Plaza property going on enbloc sale soon - (It also noted that the memorandum had a sale price for illustration only that put the approximate gross sale proceeds of the office units at  S$9.3 million.) What an undervalued gem! A-Sonic Aerospace Limited (the Company) and its subsidiaries (the Group) had, achieved: (i)    Profitable and paid / declared dividends for the last 3.5 years,  since FY 2018, FY 2019, FY 2020 and first six month ended 30 June 2021 (ii) Net Assets (Attributable to Equity holders of the Company) ( or  Net Book Value) of S$52.601 million (or US$39.132 million)    as at 30 June 2021. Despite the above, we    remain on the SGX watch list,    solely    because we have not achieved an average daily market capitalization of S$40 million. In this regard, potential share investors may still stay on the sideline due to concerns with the watch-list status and potential delisting, despite improved financial performance and position. Fund managers and investors are either unable, unwilling, or unlikely, to invest in a Company with the watch list stigma. Update on Financial Results For the first six (6) months ended 30 June 2021 (1H 2021 ) compared to the previous corresponding period ended 30 June 2020 (1H 2020), our Group achieved: (i) an    increase of US$73.779 million (62.1%) in Turnoverto US$192.576 million in 1H 2021, compared to US$118.797 million in 1H 2020 (ii) an    improvement of US$3.493 million in Operating Profit  to US$3.356 million in 1H 2021, compared Operating Loss of US$0.137 million in 1H 2020 (iii)    higher consolidated Net Tangible Assets (NTA) of US$39.132 million  (equivalent to S$52.601 million) as at 30 June 2021, compared to US$36.241 million as at 30 June 2020 and (iv) a    reduction in bank gearing to 0.3  as at 30 June 2021, compared to 4.8 as at end 30 June 2020. In summary, our operating performance improved in 1H 2021, compared to 1H 2020. Our Operating Profit excludes once-off non-recurrent items. In 1H 2020, an aggregate of    US$3.857 million one-off gain which resulted from the divestment of an associate company, that was not present in 1H 2021. Additionally, the    government grants from the various 2 countries that we operate in, reduced substantially (56.5%) in 1H 2021, compared to that in 1H 2020. Despite the continued challenging global economic condition arising from Covid-19 in 1H 2021, we recorded: (i) Profit Before Tax of US$4.441 million (ii) Net Profit After Tax of US$4.044 million and (iii) Net Profit Attributable to Shareholders of Parent Company of US$3.243 million |

GOOD NEWS for all shareholders of A-SONIC AERO. HUAT AH!!
A-Sonic' s receives notice of International Plaza collective sale units valued above book
A-SONIC AEROSPACE said on Monday that it has received a notice from the collective sale committee of International Plaza, where it has office units.

The mainboard-listed company has an aggregate of around 3,810 square feet of office units at International Plaza, and it is occupying the units, it said in the exchange filing.

Based on the information memorandum prepared by the collective sale committee, the indicative independent third party market valuation of its office units was S$6.6 million, above the carrying value in its accounts of around S$1.4 million, as at June 30, A-Sonic said.

It also noted that the memorandum had a " sale price for illustration only" that put the " approximate gross sale proceeds" of the office units at S$9.3 million.

A-Sonic said that there is no assurance of the collective sale and no certainty on the expected valuation. It added: " Shareholders of the company and potential investors should exercise caution when trading in the shares of the company and refrain from taking any action in respect of their shares in the company which may be prejudicial to their interests."

Edmund Tie & Company, the sole marketing agent for the collective sale of International Plaza, announced last Friday that owners with at least 80 per cent in both strata area and share value of all the units in the development have given their consent for the collective sale.

It added that International Plaza will potentially be the largest collective sale in Singapore' s history both in terms of number of units and value, but the reserve price was not disclosed in Friday' s announcement.

The Straits Times previously reported that International Plaza was looking to launch a collective sale in excess of S$2.6 billion back in 2018.

A-Sonic shares closed at 58.5 Singapore cents on Friday, up one cent or 1.7 per cent. At that price, the company has a market capitalisation of about S$34.2 million.

Eagerly anticipating STRONG POSITIVE RESULTS FOR A-SONIC AERO to be released very soon... AKAN DATANG From A-SONIC AERO Annual report: " LOGISTICS BUSINESS We are engaged in providing supply chain management services. We specialize in various aspects of logistic solutions, including international and domestic multi-modal transportation, warehousing, distribution, customs clearance, and airport ground services." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   GKE Corp' s FY21 earnings more than double to $11.5 mil, proposes 0.4 cent divGKE Corp has released a stellar set of results for FY2021 ended May 31.The warehousing and logistics company has proposed a final (tax exempted) dividend 0.4 cent a share for FY2021, subject to shareholder approval. During the year, GKE' s earnings more than doubled to $11.5 million from $4.7 million a year ago. Its revenue grew 10.9% y-o-y to $118.9 million from $107.3 million. GKE says its improved revenue was due to higher occupancy of GKE' s warehouses in Singapore and at better rental rates, higher trucking volume, and higher volume of ready-mix concrete (RMC) produced and sold in Wuzhou. Neo Cheow Hui, CEO and executive director of GKE, says the company will continue to seek " viable" opportunities in view of the eventual re-opening of the global economy. Such opportunities, he says, lie particularly in the specialty chemicals and electronics industries in Singapore. On July 28, GKE ended up 0.2 cent or 1.3% at 16.1 cents with 12.5 million shares changed hands. |

HOME RUN for logistics companies! A-SONIC will similarly benefit. Eagerly awaiting Half year results next month for A-SONIC  RECAP:  " LOGISTICS BUSINESS We are engaged in providing supply chain management services. We specialize in various aspects of logistic solutions, including international and domestic multi-modal transportation, warehousing, distribution, customs clearance, and airport ground services." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- https://www.freightwaves.com/news/kuehne-nagel-hits-q2-home-run-amid-supply-chain-uncertainty   Kuehne + Nagel hits Q2 home run amid supply chain uncertaintyAir and ocean logistics segments generate 70% gain in revenuesKuehne + Nagel, the second-largest logistics provider in the world, on Tuesday said a huge surge in air and ocean shipments propelled earnings to new highs in the second quarter. The company generated 605 million Swiss francs (CHF) ($623 million) in pretax income, more than double last year&rsquo s performance for the quarter, thanks to a 48% jump in net revenues. First-half earnings before taxes and interest increased almost 150% to $1.1 billion. The results reflect the soaring demand since the end of the pandemic recession last summer for international freight transportation and third-party freight managers who have the expertise and bulk capacity agreements with carriers to get shipments moved in the face of widespread supply chain disruptions. Importers and exporters are waiting months to receive shipments because of factory and port backlogs, ocean equipment shortages and various events that temporarily slow productivity. Kuehne + Nagel (CXE:  KNIN), the largest wholesaler of ocean transportation, said container volumes in the second quarter were up 3% year-over-year to 2.2 million twenty-foot equivalent units. Revenues increased 70% to $2.9 billion.   The third-party logistics provider became the largest global air freight forwarder with the $1.1 billion  acquisition of Hong Kong-based Apex Logistics  in May. In 2020, Apex ranked seventh in terms of airfreight volume managed, with a heavy focus on the trans-Pacific and intra-Asia trade routes. On July 1, K+N sold a 24.9% stake in the Apex subsidiary to Partners Group. The private equity firm will provide resources to help K + N pursue new growth opportunities at Apex, including through the establishment of new freight forwarding routes, identifying new growth verticals such as health care, and mergers and acquisitions.
Airfreight volume at K+N soared 76% in the second quarter, with net revenue up 70% to $2.4 billion. During the first half, volumes increased 44% to 1.1 million tons. Air cargo rates are significantly higher than last year because of a 10% to 20% shortfall in capacity amid consistently strong shipping demand, helping to push up margins for airlines and logistics providers. K + N was able to attract more air shippers with customized products such as its combined sea-air service in which ocean freight is transloaded to an airliner at an intermediate hub such as Dubai. Among the top commodities moving by air were pharmaceuticals and e-commerce. The company said it recorded strong gains in market share.  K + N handled a significant increase in truck volume, aided by strong customer acquisition for less-than-truckload service in Europe. The contract logistics division lost revenue during the first half because the company divested a major portion of its portfolio in the U.K. but picked up new pharmaceutical and e-commerce customers around the world. The warehouse operation opened several highly automated facilities, including new distribution centers for the semiconductor and consumer goods industries. Earlier this month, K + N agreed to acquire Salmosped AS, an Oslo, Norway-based freight forwarder specializing in seafood transportation. Last year it generated $121.5 million in net revenue and handled about 69,000 tons of goods. K + N has a large perishables business and the Salmosped acquisition complements its seafood operations in Halifax and Vancouver, Canada London and Santiago, Chile. The acquisition is expected to increase K + N&rsquo s air shipments.
