I can see the logic behind some of your points even though I don' t necessarily agree - that' s fine, sometimes both points of view have merit. But your comment about no tangible value is just factually inaccurate. In fact, if you look at their accounts, their last reported net tangible asset value per share is S$1.26 a share.

in the absence of positive news this counter is languishing. no funds are coming in ... saving grace maybe is the major shareholder went in to buy the last support is at 0.795 other than that i think the alert sign is on " caution" when can the coast be truly safe ..... just verbalising my thought the ball is round and nobody has the absolute answer .... all the best

understand what you are saying ... it is not uncommon for the management of Olam to deny all the allegations. they have to do better than that to the air. it is reflected in how the market is responding to it .... not me to prove lah .... the job of the management .... i am merely stating the atmosphere surrounding this counter ... it is stiffened just watch lor ... for now likely to test 0.89 😓

The company has " categorically denied the allegations" in September. It cannot be clearer. I understand you may doubt the company' s word and that is sort of my point - how do you prove a negative?

Personally my view is that in these situations no news is good news. If there were concrete issues these would have come out and the company would then have been forced to respond. Thus the situation is similar to that where someone is trying to prove something did not happen - it is more difficult than proving something did happen. Interested in other views. |
