Good & not so good news.

SSH CAM -GTF fund, holding 41m or around 8% shares dumped 2.7m on Tuesday and may continue to dump in the coming weeks.

Can look for bottom before fishing CSE again

All in all, CSE is a quite good company to invest. Daily volume constantly not bad but just lack of strength to move up. Poor things.

1) Regarding the OFAC fine, this was in relation to work done in ~2011 offshore platforms off the coast of Iran. Company was providing communications equipment for the platforms. At that point in time, the US sanctions restricted US and UK firms from doing business in Iran (Nuclear and Defense industries were restricted at that point in time only. Energy sector was not on restriction list).
CSE Transtel (Based in SG) was not subject to such restrictions and the work performed was not in breach of the sanctions.

So the breach according to OFAC is that the payments were made in USD, should the payments be made in any other currency other than USD, there would be no issue at all. Strange isn&rsquo t it?

https://www.law360.com/articles/949483/ofa...

It seems to me that this is a very technical breach which I do not view it as a negative for the company other than the impact to the books. Non recurring in nature definitely :)

In terms of how this affects the company&rsquo s ability to secure new projects, I gather that their secured US orders are increasing from 4Q2016 to 2Q2017, so I believe that this is not an issue for customers.

2) From the company&rsquo s performance of a) maintaining dividend despite OFAC fine b) Keeping headcount steady at ~ 1,000+ employees and c) 1H2017 operating profit of S$6 million (Before accounting for OFAC fine), my take is that even under such challenging conditions, CSE is still able to be profitable and retaining its employees in preparation to take advantage of a near to mid term recovery in the energy sector

3) As a counterbalance to the challenging energy sector jobs, CSE has diversified into infrastructure projects. Think systems integration for Smart Grid projects, surveillance, monitoring systems etc&hellip As at 1HFY2017, infrastructure contributed to 70+% of its operating profit

4) In the light of the challenging outlook, CSE has shifted away for higher risk greenfield projects i.e. high upfront capex to move towards taking more brownfield projects, such projects typically requires CSE to send their engineers down to do consultancy work and are charged on a time cost basis. Less requirement for working capital and margins are higher. I would say these are very prudent measures to increase cashflow

Overall very financially prudent company with a strong track record of systems integration/communications systems/sensors in mission critical operations. I do think their expertise is very relevant and applicable to many industries other than O& G and Infrastructure in today' s context of:
- Increased need for surveillance for security and counter terrorism
- Integration and monitoring of multiple systems and networks for multiple industries

With the recent widespread damage caused by hurricane harvey to the O& G assets in the US, I would hazard a guess that there will be an uptick in work for CSE in recent months ahead :)

33/ 33 5 this price already at multi years historical low, tell me how to take profit unless the buyer is a shortist. All sellers loss money at this price. Their US court case is a drag on their once good namesake

Might as well buy pan hong. Giving out free sino harbour shares worth 0.36SGD while current pan hong share price only 0.335SGD.

Bottoming & accumulating phase. Dividend yield of 8.2% very good, at a very least keep for dividend play as CSE has paid good dividend of 2.75 cents every year. Cash rich company.

Price seems to be rebounding from current low levels. Worth jeeping a few at least. Target 0.38 in near term. Price below nav.

Yeah, shareholders are very very disapoointed. CSE Global is clearly in nice downtrend since mid March 17 despite their FA are very sound. It seems that the major shareholders and top management are not interested to support the share price. They got 53.89 million cash & cash equivalents in hand and they should carry out the share buyback to support the share price.

Touched historical new low 33c today. Even though our STi were strong yesterday. Look like buying interest fading out
