1Q2015' s results out on Friday evening, seems like company is on track in delivering positive results.
revenue was up 80% to HKD436.3mil while net profit also jumped 49% to HKD100.9mil largely due to construction revenue from ongoing upgrade and expansion work of Binzhou Boxing Waste Water Treatment Project and Suzhou Wuzhong Chengnan Waste Water Treatment Project Phase II.

From the confident and immediate reply by the CEO, i think they have something up their sleeve. I wonder who are the top 3 water treatment companies in china at the moment.
More importantly, the CEO mentioned that there were only 2 ways to grow the companies, 1. acquire existing plants in existing markets 2. bid and build for next projects from the government.
The CFO also mentioned that CEI is not to be compared to the local municipal water treatment companies but a federal sized water treatment company.
The CFO also mentioned that CEI will be reducing finance costs such as re-negotiating most of the existing bank loans and retiring the MTN notes (7.5%). Correct me if i am wrong on the latter as my chinese is really bad.
On a non-related note, this was the first agm that i attended and i am very disappointed by the snack voucher! haha
AGM is over. I left after the teabreak. Did not stay for the voting outcome announcement. When asked about vision and projected water treatment capacity target, CEO Wang Tianyi stated he targets about 10 million m3/day from the present 3.4 million m3 /day, aiming to be among the top three water treatment company in China. No time frame given though. He requested shareholders to be a little more patient for M& A announcement, noting shareholders are eagerly waiting for this. On any impending water tariff adjustment, CFO only gave a politically correct answer - he said even in Hankore' s time, it was announced only when there was a supplementary agreement with authorities. Other questions centred on reporting currency (has to be done in HK$ because parent/majority shareholder, China Everbright International, is listed in HK), currency translation losses, getting better terms for loan financing etc.
AGM abt over? Must be good news as no drop but on the contrary it recovered. If can go past 115 could be good chance to go 120 in the near term.

Share price is currently on a strong uptrend. Guess the funds and big players are buying. Need the announcement of big acquisition project to support the share price. Hope it comes very soon! And the forthcoming quarterly result is hopefully a strong one, without hiccups and emcumbrances!
I think tomorrow' s AGM will be a non-event.
