Croesus sets last day of trading for Oct 10

OCT 10, 2017, will be the last day of trading for Croesus Retail Trust, the manager of the Japanese mall real estate investment trust announced on Thursday after the market closed.
Croesus, which is being taken private by Blackstone, will be suspended from Oct 11 onwards, and is expected to be delisted on Oct 27.
The timeline was set on Thursday when a court in Singapore sanctioned the scheme and the books closure date for the privatisation.
 
Too bad.  I voted against it.  Such a waste.  Premium can be earned back in a few years.  So much potential.   
The unitholders have decided, have spoken. All must sell now, regardless of whether we like it or not, and must follow the majority,... this is the system of democracy !
So,... we must now hope for the funds to come back asap, so that we can buy,.............................................. new IPOs, Cromwell European REIT and KBS Realty !

Blackstone' s acquisition of Croesus Retail Trust gets unitholders' nod
Wednesday, September 13, 2017 - 13:19PRIVATE equity fund Blackstone' s proposed acquisition of Japanese retail mall owner Croesus Retail Trust (CRT) has been approved by unitholders, CRT said.
As a result, the last trading day of the units is expected to be Oct 5, and the units are expected to be delisted on Oct 24.
The acquisition by way of a trust scheme is at S$1.17 in cash per unit.
CRT last traded at S$1.165 as at 1.13pm.
Now still got people buying and selling.🤑

Frankly,... I would look at the NK-Japan situation as it being a win-all OR a lose-all matter. If truely,... a bomb lands on Japanese soil, then the last thing that all of us need to worry abt would be our stocks investments. We would need to worrk about how to survive in a war. The conflict will involve all of us,...
If the above does not happen, then we need to continue worrying about where to get better returns. Croesus would be a very good source.
Hence, with the above reasoning, I' d try to continue holding CRT as much as I can till ' war breaks' out,....

As usual, SIAS advised small retailed investors to take the offer. He adopted the fearmongering tactics of impending N Korea tension and high gearing without high-lighting that Creosus is a well managed retailed trust with internalisation and responsible manager. Also, without high-lighting that most of the Creosus assets have long WALE, ranging from 4.7 years to more than 10 years lease expiry period. High gearing from cheap loans from Japanese banks and interest rate will not escalate overnight. I don' t think that he had done his due diligence to adivse the unitholders. Probably he has no knowledge of the company background.

Any update on the SIAS seminar?
Those who wish to proceed to accept can sell now for certainty - best to shake out these so the ones who want to vote No will succeed at the SOA. It will be a big fat slap in the face of the CF Advisors if they fail. Their necks are on the chopping block. Who told them to put in a predatory underpriced offer price. Pls remember there are very few listed REITs/BTs on SGX with largely freehold assets.

Tq. Hence,... some actions I have put in-place to make this initiative more convenient and hassle-free for our unitholders,... ALL unitholders must be given a choice to vote, and must be made aware of ALL opportunities in-place to help them vote. NO need to go in-person if not feasible,....
I do hope the Scrutineers will do a FAIR job to ensure that the Chairman of the EGM does exactly what the ' mailed-in unitholders' wishes, and that NO completed Proxy Forms are lost !!!!!!!!! There must be records in-place if unitholders wish to verify,....
