DBS Group Holdings Ltd. (D05.SG...) is set to report its second-quarter results Thursday. DBS Expected to Post Lower Second-Quarter Net Profit -- Earnings Preview. I will personally bearish on the stock since the lower benchmark is hurting earnings in banking and credit provision could be larger this quarter.
NET PROFIT FORECAST: DBS' s net profit is forecast to be 1.17 billion Singapore dollars (US$852 million) compared with net profit of S$1.60 billion in the same quarter a year earlier, according to the consensus estimate provided by FactSet.
Technically, we could see larger volatility around earnings days and it could provide us a good chance to short from the key level ( 38% fib retracement and 61.9% fib extension).
