The dutch buyer was lucky this deal closed before the dutch government tried to steal nexperia from a chinese company. If not it might have been caught up in the subsequent horsetrading.

How do you get 4%? The offer is 94 and the shares can be bought at 92.5.

Buying 20K of this for my SCB Bonu$aver account to earn 4% for the next 6 months
Quiet as a mouse.
Expect the unexpected for better counter offer $1.
buy this counter and waiti for the POTENTIAL 2 cents profit or a higher offer that most likely will never come and watch other counters rocket more than 10 cents?

Offer 0.94. Bought at 0.92 is no brainer . Wait for better offer while others counters to keep climbing for apparent gap widen.

There is space in my portfolio for both GVT on the one hand and UMS/Frencken/AEM/Innotek on the other hand.
The investment thesis and risk profile of GVT is different from the others - GVT is a pure play M& A trade betting that another bidder will come out with a higher price. The downside case is 94 cents i.e. a small upside from here by year end. The other shares offer much greater upside but also potential market volatility risk. People can choose which they prefer but for me there is diversiifcation benefit from holding both.

Good for you. Hope GVT moves beyond 94 cents.
As for me, I will not buy back as think management doesn't have the foresight.
Good luck to you.

I bought back GVT 0.92 2 days back. Hopefully got someone offer higher
My pick is AEM.  It seems AEM has a better potential medium term, i.e. 2-years horizon, once their production volume can be ramped up for new customers.
Also, Intel' s 2nd quarter results release on 24 Jul after market close might provide a catalyst for AEM share price to rise further, since AEM' s fortune is tied closely to Intel for now.
For now, slowly accumulate on weakness.

I have given up on GVT and move on to Frencken. The semiconductor peers are all dashing ahead.
On paper, my profit from this shift is more than GVT at $1.
Good thing I recycle my capital rather than stuck at 94 cents in GVT. Management and major shareholders misread the situation which only benefitted Aalbert

It' s not attractive for us to sell at 94 cents sure, but that cat is already out of the bag as enough shareholders have given irrevocables to ensure the deal will almost certainly go through (ie the rest of us will be forced to sell at 94 cents) without a higher bid from someone else stepping forward. That is our only hope now.
Seeing how AEM, UMS & Frencken run up, GVT offer at 0.94 is not the least attractive. DBS target of GVT $1.20+ should be easily surpassed ~ $1.28 likely.
