I have been in and out of KIT,... and came into this since its days of Cityspring. All of my holdings are yielding me in excess of 6% yield-on-cost,... and with unrealized capital gain of 25% or more. Hence, I enjoy both income & unrealized cap gains. BUT unfortunately for KIT, I have to temper my expectations.
I' ll have to see some red at times for KIT because my average price is slightly above 50c...
My best REIT holding so far is : Parkway Life REIT, at an average price of $2.50.

That is the basic characteristic of infrastructures operators. Interest payment accounts for a big chunk of cost.
The rest of costs are largely predictable. Unless a war affects energy costs like what is happening now.

As we saw in the last five years, the share price is partly an inevitable function of interest rates, rather like a bond.

But yes, like you I am positive from an operational perspective. They should do well in terms of the things they can control.

Like every other equity stock, sensitive to interest rates but what is special about this is cash flows are very stable. Recommended for 6 percent compounded returns per annum provided we reinvest our dividends

Unfortunately not, I was on holiday. AGMs are definitely worth attending, can learn so much.

Chances are high that this will continue. Why I say so is because before I managed to ask a critical question of why these pipelines are not damaged, the BOD quickly replied that these pipelines are more for distributing LNG for domestic use, ie, the pipelines are not situated close to shore for transporting LNG onto tankers for export. We know the drones and the missiles fired from Iran are targetted towards infras for export purposes. Just fyi on what transpired at the AGM. Hey bro,... did you attend the AGM

Understood. But given the war is ongoing, it is good to continue to hear there is no impact. Long may this continue

"   Confirmed from the latest results that no impact on the Saudi pipelines due to the war. "

The above was already confirmed earlier at the AGM 2026 when I asked the question on this matter and the BOD made their statements. The AGM was held a few weeks before the release of the 1QFY2026 business update

The other point of note is that buying another 39% of KMC is very accretive, especially for such a small outlay. 6% DPU accretion.

It looks like the war has actually been a positive for the Saudi oil pipelines, because they have had to push more oil through it rather than shipping due to Hormuz being closed. Not sure about the gas but perhaps similiar.

The Subsea Cable Monopoly: $650 Billion in AI Spending

SubCom reportedly exited the maintenance market entirely to dedicate its entire fleet to new cable-laying &mdash meaning there are now even fewer ships available for repairs at a time when the number of cables in service keeps growing.

Less one big compeitor. will it boost KIT subsea cable earning?
This recent article provide a good understanding of subsea cable current business situation.
worth a read.
