This coming too?
Signs of uptrend? Dyodd
Seems like this counter is doing better this year after cutting off some of the fat cats in the company. Printing business is dead but its security guard business is resilient and seems to be growing with the increasing number of condos in Singapore. If it carries on making a stable amount of $0.5 mil (0.125cents per share) each quarter, valuation of this company should hopefully be at least around its nav of 11 cents soon.
This type of business is dominated by big players. Secura is a small player in a small market. Security printing is a not a growth industry, cyber security and security surveillance is big and high growth but in Singapore it is dominated by ST Group. In overseas maket, Secura can forget it. Even ST cannot secure meaning business in security and surveillance overseas. For security reasons, large domestic cos dominate this business. Singapore companies do not have the experience and solutions to tackle the complex issues in regional markets. The largest being China. China develops its own products and has tons of top class engineers to handle the complex issues in China. In short, Singapore cos in this space has little growth potential except ST Group.
quite a few 1 lot markers this morning, is this a sign that BB will jump on it soon ?
Peter bought 3.9 mil @ $0.08889 on Friday. He now holds 39.71% of Secura.
The heading of this topic should read as "Buy at 20c and get played until upside down" sound more right .... LOL
Peter Lim still holds 38% of this company.

No meat, but yes, does not look too good. Studied the co financials, hard to justify investment. Costs way too high and no sign of profitability yet. They need someone strong to cut costs. Biz can be improved on the cyber security end but they got an A level GM to do this biz. Not that I look down on the qualifications but someone who is hands on in the IT area would be better. All these high costs are zapping the co's strength. Also the building is mortgaged with an $11million bank loan on floating rates. More costs as interest rates rise. Burning too much cash with high overheads. The CEO leaving seems a good sign as he is not likely to turn the co around. However a new CEO will find it very challenging to make money. Believe too many fat cats in the co. And people without the biz or IT skills. They need a total revamp.
If this co is not Peter Lim's, believe it would be shorted down to a 1 cent share price co.

Secura gonna fly! Big buy ups
The problem with this stock is that although the industry is doing well with few competitors, administrative expense has been rising to a point that it can' t even cover the profit earned from their security guard and security printing business. This makes one wonder what administrative expense is made up of? High salary?
This company has NAV < 1, which is really strange for an asset light company. This seems to suggest that they may be better to be sell off their intangible profitable contracts (which are not recorded in the books) and even their assets to its competitors and returning the cash back to shareholders. If this company is to see better days, perhaps only if some activist investor can take over sufficient shares to force through such necessary changes.
