Slow and sleeepy ...not aggressive , not innovative in this digital age.

S.E.A largest telco trading at such a low price is really a joke. It has to be more than $3.

PM Heng said that Singapore economy is likely to recove 2H 2021. With new US admin coming onboard in 9 days time, trillion of dollars will be unleash.

The world system has already changed especially in this pandemic. Due to heavy central banks and governments interventions, the markets are no longer function by economic fundamentals.

Yes, as i mentioned, Singtel will be the best stock in 2021. Institutional funds bought Singtel for $36.3M last week. They continue pouring more $$$$. Let balls be in heavy shortists' s court, with their holding 65M short positions (shares).

Institutional fund' s flow $$$ into banks, Singtel and YZJ... For Singtel, it was $36.3M buy last week. Now outstanding short positions are 65M shares x $2.50 = $162M which can be likely squeezed to higher market price. So it is predicted that it will rise to likely either $2.80 or $3 by CNY

You expect them to stay quiet?

They are actually the noisiest when price drops BUT since they are still in ICU for indefinite number of years, their sound will be much softer.

Actually they are on a lifeline now.......but i am not so inhuman on pull the plug unless they keep bugging us.

Singtel' s price should be worth $8 after 3-5 years, depending on how fast many Grab drivers, Singtel users and other new retailers/corporate entities have opened saving accounts, and how fast these customer money will be lent to business and other customers in form of personal loan, housing loan, trading credit facility and credit cards, etc. No physical brick and mortar - no rental, and low overhead costs may lead to healthy profit margin. For example, some digital banks took 1.5 and 2 years to turn into profitability rather than startup digiital bank - 5 years at worst. Management of Singtel claimed that digital banking take ' up to' 5 years to see profit

That' s how Government works. They would never commit actual numbers as they themselves are not sure how much profit they will meet (even when they have professional analysts to project for them for the next 3-5 years)

On my own personal take, I think ' up to' 5 years is a rather long stretch as the investors I know that throw tonnes of money on Singtel and is expecting 3 years max to see profits. That' s their target time range.

Singtel management have probably came up with a road map on DB. Although there are no physical brick and mortar but they will still need to invest servers to run them.  Of course it' s still relatively cheaper to invest on servers with low manpower and cheap rental with a big warehouse space than paying for premium super small space rental in city area with high salary workers.

Still DB have a long long way to go. It' s catered for the next generation of citizens aged 50 and below.  Although we do not need to be tech savvy but approaching a bank with no physical form is not meant for everyone. There will be a targetted audience and it depends on how GRAB and Singtel partnership approach. To entice new customers, they really need to come up with already better deals with the hotly contested current banks in the market from the 3 BIG. They too need to compete with SEA and ANT. So winning the license is only the first stage.

Yes, likely $2.70 to $2.80 is possible soon. Outstanding short positions reduced from 77M to 65M now.

More dangerous to join short camping. Overseas and local institutional funds continue pouring billion dollars on STI stocks, especially banks, singtel, etc.
