Thomson Medical secures S$225 million Islamic revolving credit facility
It can be converted into a sustainability-linked one within 12 months
[SINGAPORE] Thomson Medical Group has obtained a S$225 million Islamic revolving credit facility from Maybank in Singapore, the company said on Thursday (Aug 21).
This facility can be converted into a sustainability-linked one within 12 months, subject to the company and Maybank agreeing on sustainability performance targets that underpin the margin adjustment mechanism.
Thomson Medical will use the proceeds to repay the amounts owed under its existing revolving credit facility, as well as related costs, due in October. The proceeds will also fund the company&rsquo s working capital needs, capital expenditure and acquisitions.
Dr Melvin Heng, Thomson Medical&rsquo s group chief executive and executive director, said that the facility provides &ldquo greater flexibility in managing our capital structure, while positioning us to pursue growth opportunities&rdquo .
&ldquo We are particularly excited about the &lsquo sustainability-linked-ready&rsquo feature, which offers a forward-looking pathway to integrate sustainability-linked terms into our financing,&rdquo he added.
Maybank has mobilised RM125 billion (S$38 billion) in sustainable finance across Asean from 2021 to the first quarter of 2025, surpassing its target of RM80 billion by this year.
Health care and the financials were the top performing sectors, each gaining over 1 percent in the week before a rate hike. Energy traded consistently higher, positive 70 percent of the time.

Actually Valencia supposed to be sold to Wang Jianlin , but because Amandeo Salvo supported Latin (Spanish + Portuguese) & Spore Link.....thus ....that's why
Bread Pete must be "quite angry" with Liverpool. If Liverpool board had been more "nice and gentleman and fair" to the bidders, then maybe Bread Pete may be the one owning Liverpool FC now.
So what better way to develop Manchester in a big way to "spite" rival Liverpool.
Why buy Valencia ? Buy Spurs mah....so can challenge Liverpool in the EPL.

In the 2014 - 2015 season, when Rowsley share price was around +/- 20 cts, Valencia qualified for the Champions League.
In the 2015 - 2016 season , Rowsley share price flunked , plunged, so was Valencia performance and results.
Recently, bbs jacked up a bit Rowsley share price to above 13 cts, Valencia win 2 matches in a row ( bilbao and real madrid)
