Whats with the market nowadays. The up and down getting from just a few pips to tens of pips at once. DOW also unstable. Must be really careful.

Okay. Thanx for explaining a bullish engulfing pattern. What is crucial assumption to go long is a reversal in a downtrend. That reversal cannot be confirmed merely by such a bullish engulfing pattern. The market can still suddenly turn bearish after such a pattern.

The Bullish Engulfing pattern appears in a downtrend and is a combination of one dark candle followed by a larger hollow candle. On the second day of the pattern, price opens lower than the previous low, yet buying pressure pushes the price up to a higher level than the previous high, culminating in an obvious win for the buyers. There is no point asking the question yesterday, Tiktalk, and answering it today what has happened. Investors want to know if they should have bought yesterday when you asked, not today when the price fluctuated within your ranges. Are you doing demo trades and doing your own experiments??

I' d say, no naked short selling. Borrow first if you have no DBS shares.
But honestly, the best is not to do anything - no buy and no sell. You will sleep well over the next 30 nites. Thank you!
