Miguel Ko, chairman of CapitaLand Investment, has snapped up another $1.8 million worth of shares, bringing his total investment to around $3.8 million.
Ko bought 600,000 shares on Sept 23, paying $3.4279 per share.
On Sept 20 &ndash the trading debut of CLI, Ko paid $2.9349 each for 700,000 shares, amounting to just over $2 million.
CLI shares started trading by way of introduction on Sept 20, following the restructuring of CapitaLand into two parts: a privately-held development business, and CLI, the publicly listed real estate management platform.
Prior to this, Ko, a non-executive, non-independent director, held just 3,679 shares. He was appointed to the board on June 2.
CLI shares closed Sept 23 at $3.40, up 4.29% for the day.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, my educated forecast of CLI price would be:
Oct 2021 to Mar 2022: trading between 1.3 to 1.6 times NTA.
Apr 2022 onwards: above 1.6 times NTA.
Oct 2021 to Mar 2022: trading between 1.3 to 1.6 times NTA.
Apr 2022 onwards: above 1.6 times NTA.
Goldman Sachs has estimated the current valuation of CLI to be about 1.3 times NTA or NAV, i.e., between $3.60 to $3.70 based on the forecast of 3Q positive results and FY22 forecast.
CLI' s 3Q results in Sep/Oct should also determine the next threshold price for CLI for the period from October 2021 to Feb 2022. Their Annual Financial Report in April 2022 will give a clearer indication of the value of CLI based on the number of times of NTA it should command by comparing CLI with other listed REIMs to align with the market,

Hi, don't mind asking, if last year hold Capitaland at low price meaning you are holding CLI at low purchase price too? Won't it be better to add on instead? As it will still be overall much lower than current price?
And likely it still have appreciation prospects?

Wow, what a humbling experience.
Paper gain from CLI reached 1/2 of total gain from 3 years of holding capland.
& CLI only traded for barely 4 days.
Guess serious investors recognised CLI as more focused, fee based and asset light business.
For those who knows.....may continue to buy as engine has just started....

Do not understimate this counter!! POWERING UP all the way !! Many ppl buying now.... and will continue due to the fact that it is undervalue still...

The continuous buying interest stamped from the fact that CLI is still undervalued. The institutional investors were careful not to prevent an overheating of CLI. Therefore they allow CLI price to go up based on market expectation and gradually.
I don' t know exactly when the price of CLI will finally stabilize. My educated guess is between $3.60 to $3.70. Their next 3Q report in Oct/Nov will determine the next threshold of CLI.
