Valid point. Later the Taiwanese expert said train fault due to China made train, then how?

IMHO, It' s a crazy choice to ask the Taiwanese for help and even worse, tell the whole world about it.  Is there no cross-department, cross Ministerial learning? Have they forgot about the Terrex incident?  You ask Taiwan for help with our MRT with many of the Trains made in China and many of the railways and Stations build by Chinese Companies........ Crazy or what?  Is there no one in the  Management, LTA or MOT who can see this, who can see things in its totality and its wider implications? Or am I missing something?

Asia's two rival financial centers are starting to look very different, and the gap is going to widen.
The divergence of Singapore and Hong Kong is already evident in the quality of their transportation networks. MTR Corp.'s main rail lines in Hong Kong have been glitch-free for 5.6 million kilometers of passenger journeys on average this year, while Singapore's subway operator SMRT Corp., plagued by delays and chaos for six years, plumbed the depth of its despair last week when two trains collided, injuring 36 people.

https://sg.yahoo.com/news/japanese-rail-firm-apologises-train-123649881.html

The report says a north-bound train leaves Minami Nagareyama Station at 9.44am on weekday mornings. However, on November 14th it left at 9:43:40, 20 seconds earlier than usual.
The company' s statement said that it doubted " most people would even notice a 20-second difference," but noted that " Japanese trains are usually so punctual, some people plan their rail commutes so that they arrive at the platform just as the cars are pulling up.
It stands to reason, then, that at least a few people would miss a train if it left 20 seconds earlier than usual, and even if there' s another coming in four minutes, adding four minutes to that leg of their commute might cause them to miss other transfers on the way to their destinations, with the effect snowballing enough that they end up being late for work or school."
Are they mocking our MRT?
