What abt looking from the angle that they are hoping to be paid 100% but keeping a lid on the px to buy as cheap as possible to make as much as they can?

The current price for the bonds only matures in 2019. It may go higher or lower nobody can tell. Depends on direction of company.

After selling the Peruvian Biz for USD 1.7 billion, they can pay all the creditors and bond holders. They ll be in a financially strong position but subsequently profits and revenue will suffer w/o a core biz to drive it. But the share price should jump based on evaluations, no?

Secured creditors get paid first. Bank and bond get paid 100% plus interest etc,. If you are saying that bond at 69, then the market dont  believe the share is worth anything.   Logical?

Bond is for China Fish only. CFG is the main revenue driver. How can the bond be above 100 then considered CFG price?

Which bond your price relate to. ? CFish or PacAndes? You should be looking at Pac Andes. If you are looking a price above zero for cfish  shares cfish  bonds should be 100 logically,

Honestly, I' m not so sure.  Developments over the last yr have probably raised some eye brows, not least the alleged uncovering of possible share manipulation activities.  There appeared to have been rpts of possible hoarding  of fishmeal in Peru too.  Also, so soon after a rights in Mar 15, n after an interview with a local journalist in early June 15 in which it was indicated the coy was in a  much stronger financial footing, what happened so shortly therefter must have surprised many to say the least.  So, really, I' m not trying to talk the coy down.  There are some qn marks.  But I think the share is probably worth > 50c SGD a piece n hope that minority shareholders do get a good deal n soon.

Many factors come into play. The El Niñ o phenomenon + too much debts due to overly quick expansion led to this stage. At least the company is being responsible and willing to sell its prized business. This is being accountable to investors. After all, they can always get back into the biz when the opportunity arises.

Hope I' m not injecting too much hope.  But China, it seems, is the main buyer of CFG' s fishmeal n it' s obviously logical that they seek a buyer  from China who has greater incentive to bid higher.  Furthermore, so many Chinese coys, as we' ve seen,  appear more willing to pay a bigger premium for a potentially prized asset.  Dyodd of course.  But for CFG itself, sad that a coy with such a seemingly bright future all but  going into oblivion bcos of the apparent  manipulative actions of some.

The bond price is an indication of the share price. Volume is not important.

CFG bond still inching up as of today.   64.625 - 66.626 (Bid - Ask price).   Also, I have checked, the free float is indeed very low.   All absorbed back already.   Wonder if this whole saga is done on purpose to press price to distressed level.     Anyone also vested here ?   If no one interested then I wont bother post much ya.

I hope to see at least 50 cents per share when it resumes trade. Is it too ambitious or too conservative?

It is noteworthy that Citic CLSA' s strength is in Asia, in particular China market for Chinese investment and foreign investors seeking access to China. Hence, the potential buyer could be from China?

Coming back to the share price, assuming the Peruvian biz is sold at US 1.7 billion, how much is each share worth upon resumption of trade?
