We are no nearer to getting out of the tunnel..    Anyway, due to uncertainty px likely to be hammered further.  As if it' s not hammered enough.  But with spore mkt, especially, when situations like this arise, shortists will maximise the Dracula effect.  For the risk takers, they probably see this as an opportunity too.  If px get hammered to 1c, good time to sapu lor.  Think it' s more hanky panky in shares (hope my guess is correct).

Everyone knows that overfishing is a huge problem and it has already causing smaller catches, by 2030 think this problem will be even worst.

Bcos the generals are generalists.  Specialists likely to  be more nimble  to steer the coy, hahaha.  Seriously though,  I' m dead sure the share px of  PA n  its baby CFG are being deliberately compressed by some monkeys to force others to let go to them at fire-sale px.  Nothing to do with rmb tweak, especially bearing in mind that the HKD is USD-pegged (PA reports in HKD n CFG reports in USD).  Like I' ve posted earlier somewhere in the Forum, barring  an EN-induced disastrous catch in the forthcoming B fishing season  in Peru,  PA n CFG are gonna achieve much better results for the next few qtrs.    The chng kays know it n are timing  to fix up the share px movements accordingly.  I' ve extracted from CFG' s recent result press release to show that there' s a lot of monkey business going behind the share px of PA n CFG.  U' d notice the favourable tail winds blowing strongly  behind them - solid inventories galvanised by higher fishmeal px n lower costs = expected solid profits going forward.  N very significantly on top of these factors, financial costs are gonna be erased to the tune of USD 30-40 mil/yr.  A word of caution though - don' t jump in too fast -  watch out for the chng kays' landmines along the way.

Extract from CFG Press Release
There was a significant increase in the Anchovy catch in the Group&rsquo s expanded Peruvian Fishmeal and Fish oil operations during the important A Season in Peru. China Fishery caught 421,800 tons or 97% of its quota in the North Centre fishery by 28 June, and completed 100% of the quota a few days later. The Group caught 31,179 tons in the South fishery during the quarter, which is 14 times the catch in the same quarter in 2014.
" We were very pleased to achieve the highest Anchovy catch for the last three years in Peru&rsquo s most important A fishing season. Overall, this has enabled us to produce nearly 150,000 tons of Fishmeal from the A season," said Mr. Ng Joo Siang, Group Managing Director. " We have ended the quarter with solid inventories of both fishmeal and fish oil to meet future demand," said Mr Ng.
" In addition, our relentless focus on increased efficiency in Peru is paying dividends. Production efficiencies have delivered a reduction in production cost from US$1,340 to US$1,224 per ton of fishmeal," said Mr Ng.  (Qanghoo' s note :  SP USD1,600/ton - CP USD1,224/ton x 150k tons inventory = gross profit  USD56.4 mil  or SGD79 mil)
A large proportion of fishmeal is sold in China for use in aquaculture feed. With the normalization of fishmeal production in Peru from April 2015, the market price for fishmeal appears to have stabilized at US$1,600/ton in mid-June 2015. This is despite a temporary softening of demand for fishmeal in China during the quarter, a result of the sustained heavy rainfall in southern China which has delayed the commencement of the aquaculture season in several major production regions. That notwithstanding, the price of US$1,600 per ton is still above the average price of US$1,468 over the last 5 years.
