Gamechanger if they do share buyback now

Need to raise awareness here but to be honest. I' m waiting to unload what I brought at $1.32/-

 

Shin min and lianhe Wanbao even worse.... They should just merge all 3 papers.... whats the point of having 3 chinese newspaper while singapore first language is English

What write off so far property Axa n genting all sold above valuation.maybe more property sell above book value . Sph not doing oil like ezion or Ezra where oil rigs sell at massive discount.sph property more resilent n can sell above book value

SPH is running a challenging business, plus management w insufficient experience. Really a double edge sword...

Likely more write off.

 

I may be wrong, but i think the result won' t look nice.

1) lease earning will be under pressured, plus more support coming from landlord to tenants after gov support ends.

2) Oversea students housing, Uni shifted to online lecture temporarily dued to covid

3) Media business, their lucrative prints advertisment will be impacted, with economy not doing well & Singapore digital initiatives, more advertsiing dollars will move to cheaper and efficient online advertising. With their high operating cost, investors expecting management to come up with CONCRETE plan, they kept saying they have plan in place, but the profit kept trending down aggressively. Too many newspaper publications and high operating cost, not serving its purpose efficiently.

Sorry, was looking for SPH but seem the thread already deleted. Any comments? Positive or negative is fine. I' m still holding at 1.32.
