No, in my earlier post I said the 4.2 cent dividend would imply 11% dividend yield (10.8% to be more precise) off a price of 39 cents, which was the price I argued theoretically should be the price based off the dividend announcement. With the current share price of 32 cents the 4.2 cent dividend would imply a 13.1% dividend yield. It has not been disclosed yet when this will be paid, but judging by previous years it should go ex-div in May and be paid in June.
Clearly the share price did not jump to 39 cents after the results announcement. To my mind that is a sign of market inefficiency. Which is good, because if the market was efficient then one would not be able to make outsize profits.

These are the recently announced results for PCRD, PCCW and HKT which disclose the dividends paid by each company. If you do the maths you will find that PCRD is paying out as dividend roughly the same amount of dividend that it received from its holdings in PCCW and HKT for the year. |

In theory the share price tomorrow should jump to around 39 cents (i.e. a 34% increase from today&rsquo s close).
This is the sum of S$0.355 (the share price the day before the company surprised the market by not paying a HY dividend) plus S$0.033 (the dividends the company is about to receive from PCCW/HKT).
39 cents would imply an 11% dividend yield which seems reasonable. |

Easily 13% yields based on closing price.
