One thing that sometimes troubles me is that the info in such private  presentations are much more detailed than some of those they share on results day. But, good that they make this available subsequently (although with a slight time lag).  I find the info inside, particularly on future developments, very very relevant.

Yes, very good results and no surprises.  They also put in a strong bid for the Mattar Road GLS although they did not win - which shows confidence and ability to take on more projects (ie not cash strapped).  They also reported on the upcoming Batam condotel and hospitality developments - hopefully they will give us a Big Discount!

Tuan Sing&rsquo s 1Q2018 Net Profit Attributable to Shareholders of $8.2 million
Singapore, 27 April 2018 &ndash

Tuan Sing reported revenue of $76.5 million in 1Q2018, an increase of 2% as compared to 1Q2017 mainly attributable to higher revenue recorded in Industrial Services segment. An increase of net profit attributable to shareholders for 1Q2018 by 53% to $8.2 million mainly because of a oneoff $3.9 million gain on divestment of a subsidiary in China.

Earnings per share increased to 0.7 cent for 1Q2018 as compared to 0.4 cent a year earlier. Net asset value per share increased marginally to 83.6 cents as at 31 March 2018, from 83.4 cents as at 31 December 2017. 

Outlook

In 2018, Singapore&rsquo s residential property sector is expected to witness a moderate increase in price and volume. As at 31 March 2018, the Group has sold most of its completed units.

The Group will now focus on two new projects, namely, Kandis Residence and Remaja project as well as the repositioning of the property at 896 Dunearn Road.

The completion of 18 Robinson before the end of 2018 will enable the Group to realise a material developer&rsquo s profit. Rental of the new building will also provide a steady stream of recurring income to the Group thereafter.


The Group will continue to explore acquisitions of well-located sites for residential and commercial development properties in Singapore, Australia, Indonesia, China and elsewhere.

Its good that u like to nitpick small details.. means u pay attention to details.. however TS is not dependant on Batam&rsquo s revenue

Patience - I have been waiting for 20 years for Robinson 18 to be completed. And this shall be the case by next Quarter or so says Tuan Sing.

Found that Tuan Sing has a commodities-trading subsidiary listed in SGX ----- called SP Corporation ------ and it seems to be a bottomless money pit.....................

1Q18 loss $823,000

UOB KH always promote this stock and Citic Env but not movement one last year talk untill this year,also one Thianjin drug company too!!

Once R18 is completed next quarter - the analyst reports and media news  will appear  and rental income will begin to flow in.  Balance sheet will improve substatially, and they will likely book a big developers profit.  Hoping for a big jump in dividends too.  A lot of long suffering minority shareholders like me have been waiting for the completion of R18 for almost 20 years!!!  They first mooted redevelopment plans way back in the 1990s as I recall.  Luckily they waited, as the URA only bumped up the plot ratios for buildings next to MRT stations (R18 is next to Raffles Place MRT, like 50meters) in the 2000s, as I recall to boost redevelopment of older CBD properties.

I work near Robinsons 18 and from my look at the building on Friday, it seems that maybe two-thirds of the windows of the facade is already installed?  SO, Tuan Sing' s own estimated completion by NEXT QUARTER, ie Q3 2018 may well be in sight now.  Any idea how long would the interiors take to be completed, when the facade is almost done?

BAUHINIA Land, a unit of Tuan Sing Holdings, has disposed its entire stake in Chinese property developer Qingdao Shenyang Property on March 14 for about 103 million yuan (S$21.4 million).

The big catalysts will be the completion of R18 in 3Q2018 and the AEI in Perth Hyatt Retail Complex which should enhance its overall attractiveness to hotel and convention centre guests.
