If they don' t eat why make produce halal abalones in the first place?
Malay/Indian eat abalone too? I am sure some do but should be only handful of them unlike Chinese.
Halal so what? Yalams got eat abalones one meh?
oceanus is not the only company with halal certified abalone. nothing special. they are just competing with other brand.

Anticipating a surge up on Monday!
speculators may even start to push price up anticipating that CNY sales may heip in earning. Next will be hari raya since abalone is halal. wondering if there is other abalone with halal certified.. if not oceanus huat ah!

Looks like there are signs of a possible turnaround..latest qtr results has positive EBITA...
Believe CNY sales will only be seen in next qtr results?
Long road ahead though...
Wonder if this will move on Monday?

The result is out and Oceanus is still in the red - Sales of Abalone is only RMB 10 million which is about S$2 million compared to the previous year of S$1 million.
As expected the restructuring exercise is just to keep Oceanus stay afloat and implementing changes to turn the company around may take years unless there are cash injection from Big Investors.
The only " GOOD NEWS" noted in the report is " Oceanus has launched it' s HALAL canned Abalones since Jan 2017" . So very soon, the Muslim Brothers will also be celebrating Hari Raya with Oceanus Abalones!!!

Looking good.
Now the company doesn' t have any pressing debts and sales are taking off. I suspect we should see profitability in the coming quarters.
And if their landbank is acquired for a windfall, this baby could blast off.

Anyone knows when will the report be out?
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS HAVE REVIEWED, ASSESSED AND CONCLUDED THAT TAN MAY LING POSSESSES THE REQUISITE EXPERIENCE TO CARRY OUT HER DUTIES AS THE FINANCIAL CONTROLLER AND ACCORDINGLY APPROVED HER APPOINTMENT.
It states that the previous fiancial controller cessation due to personal reasons. Whatever it is it could be for the better.
Seems like the restructed management is really doing a their job to bring the company back on track with reduced loss and bad debt.
