up by 4.8% so far today... now at 0.435
Price fell to 0.41.
The few small shareholders remaining, are selling off.
The only possible reason is these few who know something that we don' t know, are also giving up.
So we can expect more hidden rubbish being exposed in the coming announcements on 20th dec, as the takeover talk progresses.

Possible, but I' m not convinced.  Only 16% of the shares are in public float.  Low risk takers wld more likely have had ample opportunity to get out at 45-47 earlier.  It is also likely that after the announcement on 30 Nov, there wld be disillutioned chaps who wld bailed out.  Given the small public float though there wldn' t  have been   too many of  people around.      To me, for the price to stay persistently at 7% below a potential offer, not forgetting there' s also a small portion worth abt 3c left even after  the takeover if successful,  seems questionable.

Current price below takeover price.... Buy it from market will be cheaper...... Thus, justify to sell now :)
Internal announcement seemed to suggest this is already a done deal. extension is more for getting rid of the TAiwan branch. share price plummeted bcos many investors are still shocked by the 1billion USD debt sweep under the carpet for so long. what else is under the carpet and closet, is still our guess. at least we know why TH want to take in private some years ago - to keep the skeletons forever hidden from the public.

Bro, don everything also put on CK' s bill.
Many reasons why price go below offer.  Here are some:
1.    Ppl stuck in the stock wants to sell out so as to be assured of recovering principal, these are the zero risk takers
2.  Ppl stuck in the stock wants to get out because they don like the looks of the mkt
3.  Ppl stuck in the stock wants to sell because they have other opportunities to use their money either to buy or to short
4.  Ppl just pissed off, sell because they don believe anything good will come about.
Hence, many reasons why the sellers are out.
Reasons for buyers to be interested in the stock:      not that I can think of.  Why would any red blooded Singaporean want to buy this company?          Even make a margin, but this one is bleeding a miserable death, and why do we want to get our hands bloodied?
I see the differential price, the margin.  And yet I don want to be associated with a bloody loser, this is my personal opinion.
SG made a mistake to buy this co. and now selling it at a huge loss.    As a Singaporean can I bear to  make money from such misery?

Question, what is the effect of the price if the deal doesn' t go through ?

I agreed very strongly with Heroo78. It seemed like there' s a conspiracy behind this entire deal.. Knowing STS & TH will somewhat clinch the deal of 45c per share, we may as well load in more at prices below 45c within our means and just wait to HUAT loh.. The trading patterns really look very fishy.. Wondering if this deal really goes through even before 20-Dec..
Somebody playing a fool here...at 40c the
Prc pple dont need to talk anymore as they can buy out everybody. Why so much ding dong??? Why SGX so silent??? Com system breakdown again???

i dun understand. the offer was about $0.45 and now the share price dropped to $0.415~$0.42
If we buy now, sure earn due to acquisition, right?
but it seems that no one is picking the bait....
JCET make offer for OVTI  U.S stock for $29 two month ago, But OVTI not bother to asked for extend for the offer.
why !  offer is the way too low,  Temasek and STS, Since it' s non-binding proposal, why bother asked  to extend unless you want to sell at this offer price. extended period  just acting only, anyway they will accept this offer, no one loses money in Temasek and they still get their salaries regardless
win and lose, those people just no care about it not their money this singapore money and later our gov will praise them Foreign Talent

When someone makes u an offer of 45, even if non binding, that' s ur starting pt for negotiation.  Minimally, that' s the price u can expect,  n logically,  in the interest of minorities, u try to squeeze all the juice  u can get.  But this one really strange ... only cks can explain I suppose.

Looks like this counter is going down despite possible takeover. Quite a abnormal situation and possibly contributing to the history of SG50!!!
Your competitor is your enemy... if you sellout to your enemy..you
Are a traitor.. in CChina you will be lined up against the wall and shot
At point blank. If your friendly competitor wants to buy you out...then he
Must offer the highest price possible.... the way they are haggling shows
them to be hostile hungry alligators....In todays lethargic and falling market its better
to call off all negotiations...or are they deliberately pressing the pc down to
Rock Bottom and then mount a takeover for a song?? SGX should step in
and advise investors what the heck is going on???Beware!!!
If no deal vs deal go through what is effect on share price? Vested n worried.
Herd no deal is possible.. classic case of duck and chicken talking cock...
we r all dead ducks waiting to be cooked.
Wa, early xmas pressie???
The Company wishes to announce that it, STS and JCET have agreed to extend the exclusivity period to
5p.m. (Singapore time) on 20 December 2014 or such later date as the Company, STS and JCET may
