Thanks - with so many deep pocketed bidders, looks like we have something substantial to look forward to, hopefully..

This is a mega deal involving Ascendas/ JTC / Gov. Got to go through many directors and then to the top and then back to JPM to ink it . Just relax , maybe after lunar new year.

hope the result come out soon...

They are all freehold land in the city Centres - hence unlike other hotels in hospitality trusts

On a upbeat mode. Sydney australia has been favourite for Chinese touring family.   Japan osaka/tokyo ranks high as shopping destination. ( Reports for cosmetics, household items running out in shopping malls) With tie-ups with mainland tour agencies, they can easily fill up the hotel occupancies with Chinese tourist all year round.
There is also a global appetitie to acquire hotels worlwide. Europeans, US and big pockets Chinese are bringing cheque books . Its also in line with the chinese governments call for companies to go global.
There should be an interesting outcome and one that might surprise on the upside.

yes, they better sell at a good price..

This counter has been slipping ever since its IPO. The manager was caught sleeping dabbling in derivatives/ forward contracts that cost them a bomb to unwind. Now the parent is motivated to auction to the highest bidder. No tears about that. Just remember those that paid 88 cents and having to grief since the IPO. Sell it while there are bidders.
