mkt float only 22.59% easily privatise...last q results was so strong, hope fr 80-90ct....
Looking at the current price of S$0.515, it is still way cheaper than the IPO listing price of S$0.80 back in 2014.
Japfa' s controlling shareholders in ' advanced' talks involving possible deal
Japfa says it is in " advanced" talks over a possible transaction of its shares with its controlling shareholders.
The company is majority-held by the Santosa family and the board is chaired by former Singapore minister Lim Hwee Hua.
The talks " may or may not lead to a possible transaction" and that there is no certainty of any definitive agreement, says CEO Tan Yong Nang in a statement on Jan 16.
The Indonesia-based company runs a sprawling farming business growing chickens, pigs and cattle across Indonesia and Vietnam.
Japfa shares closed at 48 cents on Jan 16, up 3.26% and up 126.19% in the past 12 months.
The company was listed back in 2014 at 80 cents.
They probalby already bought until around this price before the holding annoucements.
So my guess is any offer price wouldn' t be a lot higher.

In advance stage of negotiations but not 100% certain the deal will materialise?
so may H for several days while they discuss the deal

Not sure if offer is on the cards but hopefully the offer is good.. FY2024 eps will be about sgd 8 cents and so it should be worth at least 80cents if going by 10 p/e valuation.. sg market has low valuation, so won't be surprise with a lowball offer.. hopefully the offer price won't be too low
