Anyone can give a summary of the SIAS RHT Dialogue? I'm curious to know.

SIAS is organising a meeting for RHT shareholders for tomorrow 7pm-9pm at MND Bldg
Thanks Firedrake.
Even without Fortis sponsorship (while it would be helpful), RHT has good assets to start with. Having a foothold in an emerging economy like India helps alot and provide a base to grow from. Seems to me this is an important strategic advantage, vs new entrants or outsiders.

Though Fortis is the sponsor of RHT, it's somewhat not needed to give priority to RHT (e.g. Offer the sale of medical and healthcare assets to RHT first)
The current trust deed only allows purchase of assets directly related to medical and healthcare (in layman term... Clinics, hospitals, hospices) ). I don't think old folks home is included.
By expanding the current trust deed, only then can purchase / acquire assets such as those compliment healthcare and medical. It's written in the 29-Aug circular, do take time to read. Very lengthy but it contains a lot of info.

I am wondering too. The medical care / hospital assets should become more valuable as the Indian economy grows. Why not try to position for growth (including acquiring more complementary medical assets) instead of selling and getting out? Afterall, this is a growing economy and the medical care industry is likely to improve in valuation as India' s standard of living (and demand for medical care) improves.
A no for me too.
Agree. Will vote against selling cheap.
For me, I'll confirm plus chop vote "No" for Resolution 1 during the upcoming EGM. On 13-Feb-18, RHT made an announcement that the deal would bring every shareholders $0.88 per share. Now, we'll only getting $0.806. Minus 5%, we'll getting only $0.766 per share. This is absurd! Healthcare in India is in great demand. Those who know about the water crisis in India, will know there's going to be increasing cases of infectious diseases with each passing year. Therefore, I see no reason why we should sell the entire portfolio (as good as a chicken which lays golden eggs).
Personally, Resolution 2 is reasonable since we'll be expanding its Authorized Business to include Business Space Assets on top of the current medical and healthcare business.
You may wish to go RHT Health Trust Investingnote for further discussions. Most think it' s better to vote ' against' at EGM.
Don' t get u??

there' s an offer (from Fortis) on the table for most of its assets.
can get back 0.806 after txn fees
RHT will be distributing bulk (c.95%), 0.766 of it as special distribution after the deal closes.
