i think what gets ppl excited is that they have 50cents cash sitting after disposing their assets.. didnt think of getting it when it was 20+ cents as it is quite often for counters to be undervalue for long time if sentiment doesnt goes to it (previous case was hock lian seng when its cash pile was a lot before BB push it up).. now get also too late lol.. just see show

Frankly, I' ve not really heard about this counter, but seems like it' s ready to take-off.
Any other official news heard other than getting potential offers for the company.
And after what happened to UE and M1 recently, we better think very carefully whether we want to take the chance.
Tomorrow would likely to be hot |

Agreed, the spike was just a one-off not even related to their core business.

nothing happened. just correcting back to pre-elevated levels, cause it doesnt make sense to be there. unless people are saying their exports business lifts off, etc etc. which nobody has clue about

The land sales was parked under " Other Revenue" , not extraordinary income as it should, so it' s misleading when one sees net profit margin of 88%.
Earnings per share is flat year on year, except for 2016 which was due to the land sales.
They could do better with dividend payments, as the company is regularly clocking in good earnings year after year. Prospective shareholders also want some distribution of the profits.
Conservatism seems to be their theme, they seem to have carved out a niche by strong branding and product differentiation.   If they can boost export biz, this would be a much much more exciting stock.
Maybe get a professional to run the company.

Freak u mislead me. Not correct. U took FY16 profit right on share price of around 47-50cents right?
FY16 net profit was 28m which included a one off of disposal of land use rights.
adjusting for that, net profit should be lower.
your Low PE of 1.38 is misleading.
With new 1h17 net profit of 2m, we estimate for full year of say 4.5m, assuming 2h17 has higher growth, this will mean only 4.5m/85m = 0.05 eps.
translating to PE of 0.57/0.05 of around 10-12x
so, I don' t agree w u. Yes u took numbers from sgx, but I don' t think the stock is that cheap.

bro Spangle ,  I have not plucked the numbers from the Air , it is all available on SGX site, and I have double checked and verfied it is true.      Whether it is tangible or intangible assets its all audited  . ha ha ha no joke. cheers.
spangle ( Date: 21-Jul-2017 18:05) Posted:
you sure PE only 1.38.
the numbers are inflated because of a one off gains on disposal of a site.
so adjusting for that, recalc your PE ratio. around 10x. so still okay.
price to book 0.74x, but it includes biological assets, essentially chickens. how can you use P/B in your valuations? chickens could just be wiped out anytime, versus other hard assets like properties or machinery.
Only happy thing is FCF yield, which is probably around 4-7%. OCF also cant be used, because you defo need to buy biolgoical assets/chickens |
