A lot of useful information and history lost with the old thread gone. Sigh.

Back to the privatisation offer, Option 1 of 36 cents is not relevant except as a floor price for SLA. Anyone who does not want further uncertainty can sell in open market above 36 cents.

So anyone who is still holding on to SLA at end of offer period will be choosing Option 2. Option 2 is yield-wise super attractive, except for (1) long gestation period of 5 years (2) concern on credibility of the offeror.

(1) cannot be helped, so traders will bow out and only long term investors will remain. This is why we expect the first few days to flush out high volume of non-investors.

(2) is a matter of risk appetite for investors when they understand more about the backers and whether there are capital protection instruments in place. The IFA appointed should provide more insights within 14-21 days from offer date.

If (2) can be adequately addressed, then I would expect SLA to trade toward 40-42 cents. Otherwise, it will languish just above 36 cents till end of offer.

lol ... quote again:
Pity the old thread was deleted because of one screw loose tin kosong...... he made many outrageous and ridiculous comments which he had to shamefully correct himself but the most serious thing he did , was that he made certain allegations against the Company........ although the thread has been deleted, I believe screenshots of his allegations has been sent to the Company..... I think we shall not comment on that, as it is now a legal matter..... but we should just carry on with our intellectual discussion on the merits of each of the options of the offer.......

+1 b4 shill thread deletion :)
