SPH owns a lot of prime freehold land - you can take your time to run through. Even Paragon land still belongs to Sph on freehold title but it sold to the Reit on 99 years. This was a fire sale that we did not welcome. I will be voting down the sale.

kc only gives cash of 2.6k for 3,000 shares.If i sell after xd, i can get 6K plus instead.

Sph .. very poor journalism. News like this dun even bother to find out and report the director and company name, which is obviously of public interest.

( 早 报 讯 ) 网 络 超 市 拥 有 超 过 五 公 吨 的 未 标 签 或 错 误 标 签 的 冷 冻 肉 类 和 海 鲜 产 品 , 以 及 经 营 无 执 照 食 品 加 工 房 , 被 食 品 局 人 员 取 缔 , 公 司 与 董 事 今 天 被 控 上 法 庭 。

食 品 局 今 天 ( 11月 10日 ) 发 文 告 指 出 , 该 局 人 员 2019年 7月 对 一 间 网 络 超 市 进 行 检 查 , 发 现 大 批 冷 冻 肉 类 、 鱼 类 和 海 鲜 产 品 未 被 标 签 或 过 期 日 期 看 似 被 错 误 标 签 。 食 品 的 总 重 量 达 超 过 五 公 吨 。

该 公 司 也 涉 嫌 经 营 无 执 照 食 品 加 工 房 , 尽 管 地 方 随 后 被 食 品 局 人 员 封 锁 , 公 司 被 指 违 反 规 矩 , 擅 自 改 动 该 房 。


公 司 与 其 中 一 名 董 事 因 触 犯 卫 生 肉 类 和 鱼 类 法 令 ( Wholesome Meat and Fish Act) 多 项 条 例 , 今 天 被 控 上 法 庭 。

根 据 法 令 , 所 有 肉 类 、 鱼 类 和 海 鲜 产 品 必 须 清 楚 标 签 并 注 明 日 期 。 触 犯 者 将 面 临 最 高 1万 元 罚 款 , 或 坐 牢 最 长 12月 , 或 两 者 兼 施 。 若 标 签 未 按 照 规 定 列 出 信 息 , 或 列 出 错 误 或 虚 假 信 息 , 触 犯 者 将 被 罚 款 最 高 5万 元 , 或 坐 牢 最 长 两 年 , 或 两 者 兼 施 。

另 外 , 未 经 当 局 批 准 进 行 食 品 工 作 者 , 可 面 临 最 高 1万 元 罚 款 , 或 坐 牢 最 长 12月 , 或 两 者 兼 施 。 若 擅 自 改 动 被 当 局 封 锁 的 场 地 , 阻 碍 当 局 人 员 的 工 作 , 触 犯 者 同 样 可 面 临 最 高 1万 元 罚 款 , 或 最 长 12月 监 禁 , 或 两 者 兼 施 。

  Good if it fails, and we can all live to fight another day. Why SPH has to be sold at COVID crises and pandemic level pricing was beyond me in the first instance.  Totally chill if Keppel walks away.  This $2.35 offer by Keppel will remain etched in everyone' s memory and the next potential buyer will need to pay much more than that, if it wants to takeover SPH.

When Nat Steel was sold by the Govt, people who bought it over made tons of money. Ong B S was involved too. Wonder if the same will happen again ... fat profits for the right buyer I guess.

Keppel raises SPH bid to S$2.351 a share, cash component up by 20 cents says price is final

Keppel Corp has upped its privatisation offer for Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) with a " compelling" final offer of S$2.351 per share, which includes additional cash of S$0.20 per share.

This comes after Cuscaden Peak - a consortium backed by Hotel Properties (HPL), businessman Ong Beng Seng, and two Temasek-linked entities, CLA Real Estate Holdings and Mapletree - made a counter bid for SPH in late October at S$2.10 per share in cash or slightly higher than Keppel' s original offer of S$2.099 per share.

In a release to the Singapore Exchange late Tuesday night, Keppel beefed up the cash component of the offer by S$0.20 per share to S$0.868 per share. SPH shareholders will still receive 0.596 Keppel Reit units (valued at S$0.685 as at Nov 9) and 0.782 SPH Reit units (valued S$0.798 as at Nov 9) per SPH share.
 


The revised offer implies a total equity value for SPH of S$3.8 billion.

" The cumulative value of SPH Reit and Keppel Reit units offered has increased by S$0.052/share with improving market conditions," Keppel said in the release.

Keppel' s initial offer comprised cash of S$0.668 per share, 0.596 Keppel Reit units (valued at S$0.715) and 0.782 SPH Reit units (valued at S$0.716) per share. .
