The purchase price is S$287.1 million and the private condominium development is undertaken by a 70:30 joint venture between the Group and Wee Hur Development Pte. Ltd. The development has a gross floor area of about 51,588 square metres and will comprise about 700 units. Construction is expected to commence in 2H2017. The Group will continue to monitor the market closely so as to identify an opportune time to launch the development for sale when it is launch-ready.

In September 2016, the Group&rsquo s wholly-owned subsidiary, Wee Hur Development Pte Ltd, together with Sing Development (Private) Limited has been awarded the tender of a land parcel at Fernvale Road at a price of S$287.1 million. The joint venture company intends to develop a condominium with a GFA of approximately 51,588 sq m, yielding 735 units. The sales launch of this condominium is likely to be end-2017.
Yes, I have been here a long time. The boss is quite cautious, not likely to mess up big time.
A few years ago, I spoke to the CEO at the AGM. I asked him why he did not invest in London: he said Pound Sterling going down, and lots of competition, so prices not cheap. I asked him why he did not invest in Australia, he said Australia wanted to lower interest rates and weaken the Aussie dollar, so both were bad investments from the currency point of view.
Then last year he pounced on Australia property. Go back and check his timing. Right after that, the AUD started rising against SGD. So he did not get into unnecessary forex exposure.
This is considered a rather safe stock. Collect some dividend every year. No wild price gyrations (but I expect one big upswing coming soon). Not very aggressive, and it is moving into recurring income base business, so expect a more stable income going forward.

It is high time some local funds buy into this precious little counter. It has been neglected for far too long...
seems like a fund is buying.
In  Business Times, 8th April 2017, " Azure Capital' s stock portfolio up 17% since inception:   CEO"
" He also owns shares in Sing Holdings, a niche property developer. Trading at under 0.6 times book value, the company is developing a Fernvale project where another nearby condo has sold well, he said."
 
now can' t even buy at .36.
the other 100 lots which looks like a good till cancelled order at .355 is still there and not filled.   for the first time in awhile, very difficult to buy at .355 it seems.
This stock not meant for impatient traders... simply stay at its comfort zone at 355

the 100 lot buyer struck again.
Some days the vol was high too, but the price is really steady between 35 to 355. It is unable to break 36, but at least it did not fall below 34.
Very tight price range.
Anyway, this is a good fundamental coy, so intend to hold for long hence no need to keep on looking at the daily prices. Just that I do not hv the oppt to get lower px. lol

These few days there were some weird volumes for Sing Holdings. I could see some major queue at pre open to buy at 36 or 365, but they disappear immediately when market opens. Don' t know whether someone trying to spoof or what...
