AsiaPhos 5WV 0.00% says it is exploring &ldquo potential transactions&rdquo that may involve investing in or acquiring a renewable energy business. The potential transaction will allow it to diversify into new businesses or growth areas as well as supplement the group&rsquo s existing businesses, says the company in its April 13 statement.
At present, the transactions have not materialised, with the company currently in discussions and negotiations with a third party.
More updates will be made in due course, says AsiaPhos. At present, no definitive agreements have been executed yet, it adds.

The Company is of the view that the Potential Transactions, if it materializes will allow the Company to diversify into new businesses or growth areas and supplement the Group&rsquo s existing businesses. The Company will make such further announcements on the Potential Transactions, where applicable in compliance with, inter alia, relevant requirements of the Listing Manual of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited Section B: Rules of Catalist (&ldquo Catalist Rules&rdquo ) where applicable. The Potential Transactions may be subject to Chapter 10 of the Catalist Rules and may involve diversification of the Group&rsquo s existing business and change the existing risk profile of the Group. The Company undertakes that, where applicable, it will comply with requirements of Chapter 10 of the Catalist Rules including but not limited to seeking Shareholders&rsquo approval for the Potential Transactions as well as the potential business diversification.
