I suspect because of the magnitude of the news, the immediate stakeholders (e.g. business associates, relevant departments, etc.) have now been informed already. This prevents them from doing any insider trading before the news is made public.

probably just Q3 update....
I suspect maybe it' s because the announcement or information may be time-sensitive, so before the news break or leak (perhaps, elsewhere), at least the listco is covered by the trading halt for them to disclose the information.

Very likely actually. If it is significant news, there should be enough time for the news to settle in and market to react. That' s what the trading halt is for.

yep, shows the management is solid..they have first hand information..they halt it before insiders buy/sell..
