TA shows that short term UE has a flag formation.    If this breakouts in high volume, price is to reach 2.99.

Buy when it' s cheap.

With this long 7 to 8 weeks of due diligence, other corporates interested in UE would also have done their sums.

Let' s see Charoen makan the OCBC 36% first, and bid for the remaining shares.    Third parties bound to come in to challenge Charoen.

they all fight fight fight.      Shareholders of UE just wait lor!

Don sell until Charoen gives a good price.    Shareholders of UE, we stand firm together.    A reasonable price must be offered for us to let go of our shares.

UE price has only one way to go.  Up.

Decide to join, or stay away.  No other choice.

Let me think about it. Few of us are here debating here. Felt like a whatsapp group. Cheers to gpod fortune!

Will SPH upswing be more than UE?

I have SPH on my sights. I think not.

Right now, UE has a huge potential for price appreciation no other stock has.    The downside is backstopped easily by the fact that the deal will go on.

So UE is safe, and yet more profitable than any other share potentially.    where to find?    Low risk, high return.

Hi Kyoto! I think very much like you do too. Though I have some other things to consider. like to sell off other for real profit. to transfer into more UE shares. eg. are SPH.

What vehicle Charoen decides to move UE properties into is totally irrelevant.

Why do we want to know?    It' s Charoen' s decision.

Does it affect us, UE shareholders?    Not at all.

So move on.      Buy at the market price, coz it will continue to move up and up.  There is no discount now, given that the bull is firmly in control.    All systems Go!

With the market firmly on a bull run, and with the fact that Charoen would anytime be announcing the takeover, UE price would spiral upwards.

No amount of talking down can affect this event.

If one is not in, and interested, just buy at the market price, there is no time left.

You have seen what happened to the price of HPL, WBL when there was a takeover, for UE history will repeat itself.

There is a highly interested party, there may be more waiting to get into the action, eg Straits Trading, Lippo.    As a shareholder of UE, you have the upperhand to decide what price you want to sell your shares to Charoen or to other parties.

With such a massive takeover of Australand, I doubt that it will be absorbed into FCL

Your assumption the valuation is the same.  In that case, the discussion between OCBC and Charoen would long be over since the book values are all published and known, nothing to negotiate on.

What we now think is that UE properties are undervalued.  When Charoen injects these properties into FCL or any other vehicle he chooses, it would be at the market price.

How would gearing be an issue if the properties injected in are of much higher value?

i_love_girls      ( Date: 02-Nov-2014 18:19) Posted:

This will increase the gearing ratio of FCL then. High high will scare typical investor away. Cannot rise my shares in FCL :( furthermore the public float is so little. Very hard to up my FCL shares high high

kirana      ( Date: 02-Nov-2014 17:17) Posted:

Isn't it more like he will inject properties on UE portfolio into FCL?

Ask yourself why would OCBC want to keep UE for?

There is no synergy.      And in fact, the authorities frown on banking getting cosy with property development.      Conflict of interest.

OCBC would glady sell off UE.

The delay, I believe is due to the price.          We all know UE' s assets are understated, the China properties is a prime eg.

The higher the takeover  price, the better for shareholders of UE.          So the delay, in my humble opinion is worth it.

$4.00.    How about this?  Take it or leave it.  Charoen....how?

Aiyah, this Charoen is hungry for properties, you can see the saliva, hehe!

Why he want to spend time on due diligence on UE, c' mon folks, this guy already know how much UE is worth, he just wants OCBC to give it to him at the lowest price possible.

You think Charoen so free, he' s got a lot of businesses, a lot of other  opportunities, why do you think he pick UE.    As if  he has nothing better to do!              Why don he pick Tuan Sing or some other target?    He spotted the meat in UE.

Reits is easy money, you earn fees and the price risk is hived off to someone else.

You saw the China properties, plus the other UE commercial properties in SG.      A lot of potential and understated somemore.
