Cool down. I think the news wouldnt be out so soon. Always the big fund got the wind and move in first.

oK SORRY i shouldnt ask when. What i wanted to ask is what px u think its worth now considering its current fundamentals. U said its even better than some of the blue chips. So whats the current fair value u have derived at? Care to share? Lets say excluding this RTO deal. Just hankore alone. Cheap?

Spivvy, I can' t tell you when.
Basic fundamentals have to be applied.
Look at Warren Buffett. His big bucks are from Walmart, IBM and Coca Cola which he bought when they were penny stocks (more or less lah). But he became a billionaire because he kept them for years. Even now, he has yet to sell the shares of these. Who' s to say that HK cannot make you a billionaire years from now ? Haha.

It' s because it' s now no longer a penny stock. Harder to flip and make a profit as less people playing now. But frankly, the business fundamentals are a lot better than a lot of other active counters. Their operating profit was actually pretty decent. Beats a lot of blue chips in % even. And they prudently took a fair value hit upfront.
Unlike JES which like to declare good news before they happen, HK are pretty conservative.
But if you invest, you have to stay in for a while. No flipping.

Ok, even though divads had bade farewell to this thread, but hey i also got the urge say something in response to his post last night:-
1. U need both Faith And Strategy. Yea, usually no sign of going up may be showing something not quite right, but there is also no sign of going further down after rebounding from 80c. Usually, something is really not right if px drops further from this px (maybe back to 80c & lower in the coming days /weeks).
2. David wants to push for share consolidation becos he does not want speculators to be playing his baby. He wants real investors. Once share consol, all the kuciong kurap speculators will be out of this stock for good. That explains the sell-off prior to the share consol. Even if RTO going on smoothly, and insiders traders got wind also wont pick up the durians during these few days. Why? Becos price would be expensive now. How many post-consol hankore shares must you pick up in order to have play?
3. For hankore to go from 93 cents to $1.30 AND STAY AT THAT PRICE is easier compared to figtree from 24 to 44 cents and able to stay at that px for long. Which gives you a more stable & SAFER profit?
4. Even if CEI decides to withdraw RTO, still wont be that painful as albedo yet. Why? Probably better suitors will be coming for hankore. Maybe bigger than CEI. Albedo all along i think its a joke la pls. Iskandar? Sound more likely a con job than china conmen. Who will go for albedo now? Will u?
Just my view. Better dont anyhow cut loss & switch stock unless switch without losing then still OK.
