Coming AGM s on Thursday, April 14. Perhaps investors should take this oportunity to ask the BOD on what their strategy is,... meaning why are their acquisitions detrimental to unitholders ?

Look up Singapore reits/trusts.   Check the yields comparable to Ascot reits and look up their historical performances.   You can find some better ones.

Which one ? care to share ?

Agreed that hotel biz not doing well. (just have a tiny position for Long Term)

Imho there are better reits than this one.   More assets but also more shares issued.   Hotel business not enjoying brisk business presently.

Ecekca,...throughout its history since listing, the seems Net Assets have increased, Gross Revenue has increased by 77% and Distributable  Income has increased by 34%. But still the DPU has dropped, regardless of the number of shares having increased by 38%. I think REIT and Trust investors are very much for the DPU, aren' t they ? Investors would be concerned, right ??

I see that they are growing which is good. their DPU is going back to level around 2011. But we also need to take note that the biz is hospitality (so DPU will flucuate due to uncertain short term income)

From 1Q 2011 to 4Q 2015

Net Asset from 1.487bio to 2.67mio

Gross Revenue from 67.31mio to 119.2mio (77% increase)

Distributable Income from 23.98mio to 32.1mio (34% increase)

DPU from 2.14 to 2.07 (DPU didn' t drop alot with their Europe Acquisition). The no of shares have increased 38% but DPU only drop by 3%.

Ecekca,..the DPU trend is on a downward pattern,... please look at the analysis that I have done and posted-up in the related thread in Ascott Trust. Other forummers are of the opinion that the management of this trust is more keen on increasing asset size to 6Bil, and not on anything else, even if to the detriment of our DPU. This is not good.
