No news, stock drifting lower. Not sure if deal is on going ? Technical , a gap between 2.65 to 2.73
to be filled............DYOHW
4.45 was the price offered by UEL to swallow up WBL last time. So now how does buy put a price to buying up UEL AND WBL? 7.00 per share? Lol. Or how to derive? Uel only owns 67.5% of WBL. but buyer has to buy 100% of uel and 100% of wbl. If we own shares of uel it also means we own wbl right???

| Based on 14 Jan 2014 WBL circular:
The Offeror and parties acting or presumed to be acting
in concert with the Offeror (the ?Concert Parties?) owned, controlled or had agreed to acquire an
aggregate of:
(a) 267,045,350 Stock Units, representing approximately 96.31% of the total number of issued Stock
Units
and
(b) S$6,909,310 in principal amount of Convertible Bonds, which are convertible into Conversion
Stock Units representing approximately 1.09% of the total number of issued Stock Units.
So that means 100% of WBL would be 277,276,866 shares making up $1.25 bil?? Each WBL share is 4.50.
Buying UEL 67.5% share of UEL means the buyer must buy the rest of the remaining shares as its sgx laws. |

| Quoted from the article "At current market prices, UE is worth about $1.72 billion, while WBL was valued at as much as $1.25 billion when UE took it private four years ago. Therefore, a buyer will have to prepare as much as $3 billion to mount both takeovers simultaneously." Hmm the buyer has to cough up this amount. How much will the offered closing price be at. 1 price or 2 prices? Is it buying UEL and WBL as 1 or as 2 separate? Wbl isnt listed any longer. So whats the share price per share? Hmm. |

3 Billion translates to what price ?

what is 2.51 in terms of Stock Price ?

With regards to the article today, what is the actual value of UE.   Since UE owns 67.5% of WBL, the stake is worth 1.2BX0.675 so the total worth of UE is 1.7B+0.81B=2.51B
Would this then be the NAV of the company |

Funny trading pattern this morning with bigger volume and price opening at $2.79 then was dumped down to $2.73 but now has recovered back. The volume done normally takes at least a few hours but this morning only took a hour to achieve. DDYOD
Hmm. Then its exciting.

Even buying or selling a HDB 3-rooms flat will take sometime to complete the deal so it's not unusual for this huge deal to take sometime to be settled. OCBC and GE have already made their pick for Perrenial so it's only fair to wait for Perrenial to submit their binding takeover offer. After that can we hope to see a bidding war if others can offer a better deal. Remember the WB deal.....STC's offer was upped by UE and the final deal was with UE. Hope to see a repeat since the last few land tenders were getting heated up.
