CNT has recently been involved in so many new projects/JV with China counterparties, and holding minority equity stakes in those projects. Need to raise funds in order to participate in those projects?
All China counters avoid ah. .... If resume trading. Release straight away. DYODD probably.
Suspension for so long very unusual. So should be very big good news or very big bad news. If CNT does not suspense, the news leaks by rumor while they the insiders are still negotiatiate the thing, we got time to run away for bad news and haut for good news, but not the insider because the result is still uncertainty they wont simply dump or buy until thing is clear but are forced to do so. Do you think they will benefit us? this is will they suspense. Unless they are not successful, you will see the price fiercely up or down depent on good or bad news when the supension is lifting.

Yes. Share consolidation does not require even trading halt. I guess there maybe placement or something which would affect the stock price hence it was stop trading.
Dont think Share Consolidation need so long for approval !

Sounds like share consolidation to reduce the free float.
The share is currently under suspension, when it is going to be lifted up, the exact imformation will be announced before trading anyway ! I don't see it violate any rules.

Have called up CNDT hk office to enquire about the suspension, here are what I get her from her answers
It is a restructuring or consolidation pending for aproval from securities and future commission from hk.
It is something good for investors in the long run.
It will take about a month.
It will still maintain listing status.
Whether is an M & A, she can't reveal.
放 心 ， there is nothing bad about it, just to be patient.
She said they are working hard to make it sooner, as China is having a 1 week national holidays, if it is involving China parties, things will definately be delayed.

Normally the major shareholder will offer higher at from the last closing price for the remaining share that he doesn' t own..

well, suspended, should have some clarifications by the company on the reasons of suspension also.
I recall on june 2015, share price also went up to 10cents, suddenly halt from 5th to 9th June 2015 then the very bad news came up share price was back to 5cents. This time worsen ' SUSPENSION' , haha must be very big bad news or very big good news.
share price ran up before coming to a halt.. going by Singapore standard, likely to be good news i guess? Always have good run up before the news are released..
Not really. There were good news in the past they took a long time to announce
