i think so. definitely more than 6% that is for sure as recall will be at $1.00
Base on current price at 945, with another 2.5 years to go before maturity, that is about 9.7% effect rtn. Am I right ?

Yes indeed. Perpertyual also has call back date .. so it is relatively safe compared to stocks.

The current one will be caleld in APR 2018 and the other in May 2020
Ok one lah. just enter a bit to avg down and collect dividend (in a few days time)

Doesnt really matter becasue it will delist in APR 2018 at par level $1. So if you already have it, just wait for collect a last round of dividend in APR 2018.
or switch to other counters if u cant wait.

Price kept going down past few days.
Waiting for APR 2018 to delist.
Now more than 6% as the price has fallen below 100

it is time to load up for another round of dividends and called in APR 2018. (if not the interest rate will go up to 8%?)

Luckily sold this at 99.9 last month when result was out. It' s dropping so fast now. Quite rare for a bond to drop so much in a few days esp when Dividend is going to be due soon.
Wonder if Hyflux will be redeeming this perpetual bond in April 2018. |
